      Government Polytechnic, Kohima Admission Process

      The Government Polytechnic Kohima, is an AICTE-approved diploma institution offering programmes in various engineering disciplines. Government Polytechnic Kohima admissions are offered in Diploma with specialisations in Computer Science Engineering, Diploma in Civil Engineering and Diploma in Fashion Technology. The admissions are offered in full time study mode only.

      The Government Polytechnic Kohima admission process is initiated after the declaration of HSLC/HSSLC (10th/12th) results. The Directorate of Technical Education will oversee the admissions in Government Polytechnic Kohima and conduct the Diploma Entrance Exam (DEE) on behalf of interested candidates. Only those Candidates who have scored a minimum 35% in Diploma Entrance Examination shall be eligible for selection. Besides the DEE, the institute also accepts the scores of the Diploma Common Entrance Test (DCET) for Government Polytechnic Kohima admissions.       • Candidates have to wait till the announcement of the HSLC/HSSLC results to be declared, thus starting the Government Polytechnic Kohima admission process.

      • The Directorate of Technical Education will publish notifications regarding the Diploma Entrance Exam (DEE). The notification includes important dates for the exam, result declaration and admission process.

      • Interested candidates are to obtain and complete the application form for the DEE. The application form can be downloaded from the site or obtained from specified centres, as contained in the notification.

      • Candidates have to appear for the Diploma Entrance Exam (DEE) on the date and place specified.

      • The day after the exam, results will be declared, and all successful students will then be called for the Government Polytechnic Kohima admission process.

      • For Government Polytechnic Kohima admission, all original documents are required to be shown by selected candidates during verification, and they must pay the requisite fees to secure their seats.
