The admissions to Govt. Polytechnic, Nalgonda is done on the basis of a centralised counselling process conducted by the Department of Technical Education, Telangana. Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of TS POLYCET scores. The exam application form usually opens in the month of April and the exam is conducted in the month of May. Government Polytechnic, Nalgonda offers diploma programmes in four branches and three of them are offered in two shifts. There are 60 seats available for each of the courses.

In order to gain admission into the diploma courses at Government Polytechnic, Nalgonda, a candidate must appear for the TS POLYCET exam. After obtaining a valid score, the candidate has to register for the centralised counselling process conducted by DTE to obtain seat allotment.

• Register and appear for TS POLYCET exam

• Obtain a valid score

• Pay the processing fee 

• Select slot booking for document verification at HLC

• Get documents verified at HLC and obtain Receipt of Certificate (ROC) and sign in credentials

• Sign in with login credentials to perform choice filling

• Seat allotment by authorities

• Payment of fees to confirm allotment

• Reporting at the college
