Affordibility, great clinical exposure

Posted on 01 Sep' 16 by ABHA VERMA

A leading Medical college in the State of UP since the past 60 years or so, GSVM has been at the forefront of medical education in UP and India since long. It provided good faculty, great clinical exposure, a strong theoretical base and especially a good student environment with a healthy alumni. The infrastructure for its time was outstanding with centres for cancer treatment being the only one in India at that time. This though has changed, what with various political factors of apathy and neglect creeping in to lower the quality of a premier institute. However, a constant stage of good education and practical exposure remains, whereas a desperate need for overhauling the infrastructure, especially of the hostels remains to be done by the authorities. It is a good medical college with a successful alumni and provides enough industry exposure to ensure a well-rounded doctor shall emerge from the place.

Affordable and rigorous practical training

Posted on 28 Aug' 16 by Anumeha Mathur

The college provided exceptional theoretical training apart from phenomenal clinical experience. The faculty was also extraordinary, and the result being that students graduated then have gone on to reach apex positions in their chosen specialities. Thorough clinical exposure meant rigorous training on the job preparing us for any eventuality and setting us apart in our practical capabilities. All year round guest lectures, strenuous hospital hours and direct patient treatment ensured we emerged as well rounded doctors when we graduated instead of the raw material graduating from medical colleges today. However, efforts to increase research work and technological expertise are required.
