48 MonthsBachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering is a four-year full-time undergraduate program recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and offered by the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, Kolkata.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates will have to qualify the 12th standard examination with Mathematics, Physics, and either chemistry or biology or computer application or computer science with a minimum score of 45% for general students and 35% for backward cast student.
Admission Details
- In all courses, 90% of students of the approved intake capacity will be admitted based on the merit position secured by the candidate in the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE). The balance of 10% of students will be admitted from JEE-MAIN as per norms stipulated by AICTE and the state government.
- Diploma holders in any Engineering /Technology discipline can enter a degree course in the second year at HETC, through an admission test, JELET, conducted by WBJEEB.

College Infrastructure
The infrastructure is quite nice, its a new college not very old so it feels very fresh. They provide us with all necessary facilities and equipments. The classes are very neat and clean. The labs have all the necessary equipments.
There is no placement facility in Hooghly engg &technology
