      HIT Hooghly Degree-wise Admission Process

The details of the admission process for the courses that the college offers are given here. The college has laid out the admission procedure in such a way that it is clear, organized, and easily accessible, thus making it possible for the students who deserve it to take up further studies. HIT Hooghly admission procedure and the seat intake for various diploma programmes are slightly different, which is given below in an easy way to understand properly:

HIT Hooghly Civil Engineering Diploma Admission Process

The Civil Engineering Diploma programme has an admission strength of 81. HIT Hooghly admission will be based on merit as per the JEXPO results for the first-year intake. The lateral entry will be available for the candidates holding backgrounds in vocational courses or ITI via VOCLET into the second year. The course develops skills in the principles and practices of civil engineering.

HIT Hooghly Chemical Engineering Diploma Admission Process

The sanctioned strength for the Chemical Engineering Diploma programme is 54. Like Civil Engineering, the same HIT Hooghly admission procedure applies to this programme, which is through JEXPO for first-year admission and through VOCLET, possibly for lateral entry. The course is more focused on chemical processes and their industrial applications.

HIT Hooghly Diploma in Electrical Engineering Admission Process

Again, the  Diploma in Electrical Engineering programme uses a regulated intake of 54 students. HIT Hooghly admission procedure remains the same as other diploma programmes with JEXPO for first-year entry and VOCLET for lateral entry. It holds diverse lectures covering aspects of electrical systems and power engineering.

HIT Hooghly Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Admission Process

The Diploma in Mechanical Engineering programme has 54 seats, all admitted under the specifications set by HIT Hooghly. Academics

I did Diploma in Civil Engineering. There is nothing to complain about the quality of teaching. The curriculum is updated and all the recent developments are in the field. Yes, the staffs are very helpful and give useful coaching to thedents to be job ready.

      College Infra

Yes, my college had all necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. The campus in not wi-fi enabled, nor there are any smart boards. But the existing blackboards and benches are well mannered and maintained. The living spaces are tidy and the canteen serves hygienic food.

      Campus Life

The College Campus is well maintained. Frankly speaking, in case of infrastructure it is average. Students can engage in different sports and cultural programs. The teachers and non-teaching staffs are also helpful. The college is placed in a safe location and people around the area are quite nice.

      Placements

The quality of placements is average in case of Diploma, but, the normal B.Tech students get good placement. Not sure about the average salary, but college is always very supportive in these matters. Overall, the college provides average campussing.

      Value For Money

The fee w.r.t other Engineering Colleges is quite less and offers a value for money package.
