Admission Process 2021
IES College of Technology (ICOT), Bhopal offers diploma, undergraduate (BE) and postgraduate (M.Tech, ME, MBA) courses in various areas. To get an admission to the undergraduate courses in engineering, candidates need to have a valid score in JEE, for the postgraduate examination in engineering, candidates must have GATE score. The detailed admission process of the courses offered by IES is given below:
For B.E:
Candidates need to appear in JEE Main examination.
Further, students also need to appear for the counselling, which will be conducted by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Madhya Pradesh based on their scores in JEE Main.
The merit list is prepared based on the rank in the entrance examination, counselling rounds, preferences for colleges and courses, document verification and fee payment.
For M.E:
Applicants need to be qualified in GATE.
They should have a valid GATE Score in the relevant/allied branch of Engg/ Tech.
They need to apply on the official website of the college.
Shortlisted candidates have to appear for the counselling conducted by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Madhya Pradesh.
Final selection is based on the score in the entrance examination, counselling, preferences of colleges and courses, document verification and fee payment.
The sponsored candidates should have two years of work experience after a B.E/B.Tech degree
For MBA:
Applicants must have a valid MET/ MAT/ CMAT/ CAT score.
The candidates need to score qualifying marks in any of these MBA entrance exams.

- The State Government of Madhya Pradesh has decided to admit students to Engineering Colleges of Madhya Pradesh through Joint Entrance Exam (JEE Mains) conducted at All India level by CBSE.
- The all India ranking is obtained from the 60% score of JEE Mains and 40% score of qualifying examination Board.
- The admission procedure is conducted in three phases: Round 1, Round 2 and College Level Counselling.
