IET Agra Admission 2025: Dates, Application Form, Courses, Fees & Eligibility

Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra was established in 1998 and offers engineering and technology programs approved by AICTE. Admissions are given on merit basis and depend upon the academic calendar of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University and UPTU entrance exam schedule.

Undergraduate BE courses are generally granted under the UPTU Entrance Test, which is an aptitude test based on knowledge in subjects. The programs of BE are Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, all with 60 in-take seats.

MCA admissions as well as other applications for postgraduate study are made on the UPTU Entrance test result. The M.Sc. Computer Science program is open to applicants who either pass an entrance test or are accepted by merit that the university will define from year to year. The PGDCA program runs for one year and has a separate entrance process as announced prior to the academic session's beginning.

Application Process

• For BE Programs:
  Register on the official UPTU website for entrance test.
  Participate in the UPTU Entrance Test on scheduled date.
  Apply to IET Agra through UPTU counseling after result declaration.
  Attend counseling, choose IET Agra and desired BE program.
  Report to IET Agra for document verification and admission formalities if allotted seat.

• For MCA Program:
  Visit UPTU to register and sit for entrance tests for MCA.
  Apply to UPTU counseling if considered qualified.
  Attend the counseling and select IET Agra if opted-in.

• For M.Sc. Computer Science:
  Refer to the public alerts published on the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University or IET Agra portals.
  If entrance test conducted, register and appear.
  For merit-based admission, application must be made with academic documents.
  Attend counseling/interview if called.
  Complete admission process when selected.

• For PGDCA:
  Keep track of announcements on the websites of IET Agra or of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University regarding admission.
  Follow application procedures according to notification.
  Submit required documents and application form.
  Attend any selection process if specified.

Degree-wise Admission Process

• BE (Bachelor of Engineering):
  Holds Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, having a component of 60 seats each. Entrance is based on the performance in the UPTU Entrance Test. The BE program takes four years of extensive technical education.

• M.Sc. Computer Science:
  A postgraduate program with 60 seats. It runs for two years and admission may be gained basically through an entrance test or on merit as the university decides every year. This course is intended for specialization on advanced computer science.

• MCA (Master in Computer Applications):
  MCA is a full-time, three-year course of the college offering in total 60 seats. Admission is by the UPTU Entrance Test. This course is best suited for aspirants aiming for software developing as well as IT management careers.

• PGDCA (Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications):
  A one-year course of post-graduate diploma in computer applications with 30 seats. Admission to this course occurs independently of the rest and it usually occurs before the beginning of the academic year.
