You really have good percentile in entrance exams which is a positive point and aslo your board marks are impressive. Many candidates will be applying IMT Ghaziabad and they will definitely select the ones who have good academic records as well as experienced. It seems that you have a decent chance at IMT Ghaziabad. IMT GHaziabad is a good institute for management however, if you have job in hand and that job is a role which is in a core sector of your graduation, then I suggest you should go and do job at least for a year. An MBA without work-ex is not a good decision as the second year of MBA is all about those students who have some work ex before.

But if the job you have is not a good job but a BPO/Call center/non-core job then you can consider joining IMT.

The official website says that you have to fill one common application form and short listed Candidates will be called for Personal Interview at the centre that they have selected in the Common Application form. Admission decisions will be made on the basis of the personal interview round and selected Candidates will be given the admission offers. If you have chosen both Hyderabad and Nagpur as your centres, you will receive 2 different calls if shortlisted for both the centres. But the admission is based on the merit and cut off of each campus.

You can get from IMT Nagpur because their previous year cut off was 80 percentile for PGDM. You can expect decent chance in IMT Hyderabad also as their previous year cut off was 75 percentile. You also can get:

The IBS, Hyderabad and IMT Ghaziabad, both are well renowned colleges in the field of management. The IBS is ranked 8th in best institutes for management, whereas the IMT is ranked 6th.

Talking about the reviews and rating, the IMT has obtained a bit better reviews and rating than IBS. The faculty and facility, both are good in both colleges, but the reviews of students and experts shows more positive response for IMT.

Talking about placements, various well renowned MNCs and Other popular companies visit its campus for recruitment. Both the institutes show a positive placement percentage. But the median package offered in IBS is INR 7.32 Lakhs per annum and in IMT is INR 11.60 Lakhs per annum.

So, if you are thinking to pursue management course in either IBS or IMT then you can choose anyone of it. But most preferably, you should go with IMT Ghaziabad.

Getting a call from these B-Schools would not ensure your admission into them as several factors are taken into consideration before taking a student into a B-School, such as:

• Relevant work experience
• Performance in GD/WAT/PI process
