Hello, As per your query about rank in neet pg, i would like to tell it will vary depending on the marks secured by other students...and as the same is not released officially. According to 2016 list candidates who scored at least 900 marks out of 1500 to got admission in KMC Manipal in MD Pathology.

But now maximum marks in NEET 2018 was 720.So according to 2016 you need to score at least 450 marks to get MD pathology in KMC Manipal.
  • Below I will provide you a link through this you can predict college.

Hey! There is actually no management seats in KMC. There are seats for MAHE students which goes till around 10lakhs pa, seats for govt students who have appeared for CET which is a govt college exam and that comes till 2-3lakhs pa and then there are seats for the NRI and Foreign category for which the fees are around 20-30 lakhs pa.

The cut off varies year wise so according to previous year information the closing rank for round 1 was 62210 (DY Patil) so as per this much rank the safest score should be 360 and for KMC it was 9353 so as per this much rank better to get 500 approx to keep yourself in a safer side.

Good Luck!!!!

Hi Apoorva, As per your query about the college preference in between govt and private, I would say it depends on the standard of college, since there are good private colleges like KMC manipal also and not so good govt college also. But going by trend and preference most students prefer Government college over private for subjects like PSM since it requires lots of govt scheme involvement, posting in some CHC and PHC for few days that is govt set ups only, with lot of exposure in govt sector and health related policies, Academics is quite variable, it can be good in both...

For pathology it wouldn't affect much in govt or private college, but the load is more in government college so more exposure....Like in some reputed colleges like Seth G s medical college, mumbai pathology department is quite good....but that may not be in all peripheral govt college but kmc manipal is also a good institute if fees is not the factor

Hopefully it helps you to decide

Hi Rao

Kasturba Medical College Manipal, doesn't offer MD in Radiology, however it does offer MD in Radio Therapy and MD in Radio Diagnosis.

It is difficult to predict exact cutoff score of this year since a lot will vary with how many aspirants appeared this year for NEET PG, difficulty level of exam and how prepated were everybody. However you may get an idea of the same from last year statistics.

In 2017, the lowest score which got admission in MD in Radio Therapy was 1020.9634 (out of 1200 marks).

Similarly, in 2017, the lowest score to get admission in MD in Radio Diagnosis was 1078.2704 (out of 1200 marks).

Hope it helps.

There is no any management quota seats in Kasturba Medical College, Manipal. The admission is only based on NEET Entrance Exam score.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has notified about the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Undergraduate 2018 that this year foreign national aspirants need to take NEET, according to Supreme Court orders passed last year. Iam providing you  a list of points that NRI (Non-Resident Indian), OCI (Overseas Citizen of India), POI (Person of Indian origin) and foreign nationals need to keep in mind before applying for NEET 2018

Keep your identity proof ready:NEET 2018 notification has made an Aadhaar card mandatory for all Indian nationals (except Assam, Meghalaya and Jammu & Kashmir) to apply for the examination. However, NRI/OCI/PIO aspirants who dont have Aadhaar cards with them will have to keep their passports ready as identity proof. While filling up the form, aspirants need to provide their passport number and carry the same while taking the examination.

No NRI quota in medical colleges:Before NEET was regarded as the single entrance examination for selecting candidates in MBBS/BDS courses across the country, there were a certain percentage of seats reserved for NRI candidates. NEET 2018will not provide any quota to NRI students in any of the medical institutes. NRI/OCI/PIO aspirants will get a chance to compete for the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats, only after they appear for NEET 2018. Whether there will be any seats reserved in the state quota seats will be decided by the respective state medical authorities at the time of counselling.

No admission based on board marks:Until last year, the NRI/OCI/PIO candidates got admission based on their scores in standard 12. But after the Supreme Court order making NEET mandatory for admission in MBBS/BDS courses last year, theforeign medical aspirants were left stranded. A sizeable number of students had to surrender their seats midway, as their admission stood cancelled due to the court order. This year, there will be no skipping NEET. Foreign aspirants have to take the examination to be eligible for counselling rounds conducted by MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) and state medical authorities. For foreign aspirants, the biggest concern will be to compete against aspirants from India, due to the difference in study material and syllabus.

No clarity over admission in deemed universities:Although there is a mention of counselling of private institutes through state medical authorities in the official notification, there still is ambiguity about process of admission for deemed university/institutes. Due to the constant flip-flop of rules and court orders, medical aspirants were kicked out of various deemed universities last year. The petition filed by students is still pending in the Supreme Court, the judgment of which was scheduled on January 30, 2018. With no clarity over the admission process, the counselling procedure, and quota of seats in deemed universities, foreign candidates have to be very careful before taking the exam.

Selection of cities as examination centre:The notification issued by CBSE has listed 80 cities, where NEET 2018 will take place across the country. Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh have the most number of cities (6) as test centres. Foreign aspirants must make sure that they make their choice of three test centres wisely while applying. Prior arrangements should be made to avoid trouble at the last moment before taking the examination.

Fee structure for KMC Manipal for MBBS programme is Rs. 50,23,000.

Good Luck!!

Hello
For admission to KMC Mangalore or Manipal,
As per the standards of 2017, the cutoff in unreserved category was 360 in handicapped category 324 and unreserved category 288 out of 720.
However I think the cutoff does not necessarily indicate the marks obtained by the student with the worst rank who got into the college and is just about the eligibility criteria.
So my advice to you would be try scoring in excess of 450 out of 720 ,preferably above 500 , if possible above 550 to strengthen your chances of getting an admission to the college you desire.
You can then either access the college through a good all India rank in the 15% all India quota all if you are from that still itself you can also avail the 85% State quota for the same.
The basic requirement for this would be a thorough practice of MCQs which are in the form of a mock examination and time bound so that you have a good practice of answering the maximum number of questions correctly, leaving behind the dubious one so that you have least negative marking and your total score gets you above pal and you get admission to the institute you desire.

As you are asking about the cuttoff marks of KMC mangalore,I would like to tell you that the marks doesn't remain the same each year for any medical college the marks obtained totally depends on the toughness of the paper, students appeared and many aspects so through marks we can predict any thing, but instead of it the ranks probably remains constant mostly so i recommend you to look at the cutoff ranks which i have given you below instead of looking for cutoff marks. Categories Ranks 3A General 356+ 2A General 1502+ General Merit Hyderabad 1525+ General Merit Rural 1676+ General Merit Kannada 3357+ SC 4863+ General 293+ SC Rural 12007+ 3B General 772+ ST 3375+ 2B General 1418+ 2A Hyderabad 2787+ 1 General 1342+ But for you i tell you last years cutoff marks was between 610-470
