College infrastructure is very good, it has got airy classrooms equipped with projectors. Laboratories are very well furnished and comprised of all the necessary tools required for doing practicals. It has goood space to wind out, Ashoka lawn is surrounded by beautiful flowers and students gets a good place for gossips and all.
I am pursuing Bsc.(H) physics here. If I talk about the quality of teaching then it's just average. Not all professors worth that place. But some professors are superb. And. This course is wholly bases on theory so it is in no way get you prepare for any job title.
Well to be honest, the placement standards maintained by our college is just outstanding. Recently one of my friend got a placement at De Shaw ltd. with an overwhelming package of ₹18 lpa!! So if you are talentes enough then you don't need to worry about the placement here.
My per year college fee is around ₹ 11500/- and yes, I would say that the course worth the money. Because with this amount only you are getting exposure of very costly lab equipments which is surely going to cost you a lot if you are to access it in any other private college.
Since the college is in North Campus of Delhi University, there is not doubt over college campus of being not enthusiastic. Here you get various places to wind out and relax youself. Big grounds, canteen lawn, Ashoka lawn, library Lawn are some of the major attractions. The canteen also provide good quality of food. Overall the Campus is neat, clean and green!
Talking about my experience, it was just awesome. 3 years I have spent here are like a treasure to me. Enthusiasm of attending college fests can't be ignored. May societies are there which are very helpful in an individual growth. College placement is very good, companies mostly prefer students from commerce, eco and statistics background.
The college has a small campus and it is not as big as I thought it to be, KMC being affiliated with the supreme Delhi University. The classrooms are well-maintained but there is no use of the smart boards which have been installed in the classes. The washrooms sometimes stink and are not cleaned regularly; WiFi is available but the connectivity is poor though, and the canteen has affordable food items but not hygienic always. The sports facilities are good but limited to some popular ones.
The academic curriculum is not updated, and it is not compatible with the current advancements in various industries, be it IT sector or corporate sector. I, being a statistics student, lacked in some computer skills which are taught effectively in other colleges, and are required for job-oriented people like me. The college still adopts the theoretical approach to various statistical measures. We had to go through big books for some concepts, which today, can be done easily through any software.
The placement recruitment drive did take place in the college; but the companies offered biased roles with maximum openings for commerce and economics' students. Even the jobs which allowed us to sit had desired skills already possessed by commerce students and we had scant chances of getting through. The average package was less which ranged around 4-5 lacs p/a. The placement cell was active indeed, but they were not supportive of students like us who did not have many opportunities for jobs.
KMC is worthwhile as my fees cost me just 10k per year, and i was a local delhiite, so did not have any other major expenses. The college has an amazing arena for cultural activities like music, dance and theater. It also has other educational societies like Enactus and Finance cell. But due to less package and outdated academic curriculum, it is a bummer for an academics-oriented student like me.
The campus life is better than the south campus in Delhi, but not as good as other colleges of DU in the north campus itself. It is situated in Kamla Nagar which is well-established market with outlets and cafes. The teachers are supportive and experienced, but they are not equally competent to other young teachers as they majorly they're old and still follow the old ideas. There is a well-equipped medical room for emergencies; there are spacious lawns to chill and relax after classes.
The college's theater society known as The Players is very renowned in the DU circuit. Renaissance is the cultural fest which is conducted every year at a large scale and is always a big hit for KMC. The college provides various opportunities for honing skills in cultural activities and i won't recommend for academics, and especially if the person is job-oriented.
KMC has one of the finest campus in the north campus of Delhi University. The layout of the campus is systematically designed with 2 buildings for the classrooms and an activity center for sports and gymnasium. There is free WiFi service available for all students; library is huge with all types of books which can be issued for 15 days and all the labs are well-equipped. The washrooms are well-maintained;canteen offers hygienic food at affordable prices. The auditorium needs renovation though.
I am a statistics' student, and my faculty is experienced and cooperative. We have practicals for all subjects which imbibes practical approach in the students. Overall, KMC is known for its teachers and academics. The curriculum is updated with interactive sessions held every now and then, to make students learn through real-life experiences.
The placement recruitment drive is conducted in two sessions, namely the summer and winter sessions. Many big names visit the college and offer variety of roles .Though the commerce students are at an advantage as more companies offer roles compatible with their profiles, but each student is allowed to apply and has some probability to get placed. The average package ranges between 5-7 lac p/a. There is an active placement cell which guides every student and is instrumental behind the drive.
The total tuition fees of a year is around 10k for statistics and the expenses may vary if a student is not a local resident. But a college like KMC is nothing but worthwhile. The opportunity of getting a job is high and considering the average package, it's worth an investment. Additionally, extra curricular activities at the college make it all the way worth it.
The college has an amazing and a diverse crowd. It has spacious lawns for hanging out with friends, and a market like Kamla Nagar just nearby, makes the life all the way more enthralling. There are various societies like dance, drama, music;the NCC cadet is a real attraction if anyone wishes to join Indian Army. The educational societies like Enactus and Finance cell have a great reputation in the circuit. There is a medical room for emergencies and common rooms for both boys and girls.
I have been a part of The Players, which is a drama society, it helped me transform as an individual. I am sure even the other societies are staggering, and KMC is just not about studying but experiencing plethora of fields.
KMC has moderate infrastructure. Most of the classrooms (except labs) lack air conditioners, which makes sitting in crowded classrooms during summers very difficult. It lacks modern facilities like smart boards. WiFi is available but it is very slow. The sports centre has grounds for many variety of games, but it lacks the equipment (like balls, racquets etc.). The college is overall hygienic, but the canteen food is not very good. The college has many open areas for recreational activities.
I am studying B.Sc. (H) Statistics. Generally speaking, statistics has a lot of scope in the job market. But the outdated curriculum negates that. The curriculum focuses a lot on theory and very little on practicals. The focus on theory is good, but it should be matched by an equal focus on practical applications. Subjects like machine learning are not even touched in this course. So overall the course does not make one job ready. The faculty is a mixed bag of both good and mediocre professors.
A very less percentage of students get placed as most students opt for further studies. Most companies offer packages in the range of 3-6 LPA. Some dream tier companies come with packages as high as 18 LPA (inflated), but they hardly take 1 student from the entire campus. The placement process is easy and pleasant overall. The placement cell coordinates the process efficiently. Most of the profiles offered are general, like marketing, consulting, sales etc. No technical roles are offered.
The fees for my course was around INR 11,000 per year, which is very cheap as compared to other colleges. Mathematically speaking, the return on investment is good. However there is certainly scope for improvement.
Campus life can be very good if one is a part of the various societies (like Enactus and Placement Cell). However, they have a selective recruitment procedure and a very few students make it to them. Being a small campus, there is not much to do apart from attending classes or playing a few sports, or studying in the library. The location of the college is just behind Kamala Nagar, which is very good. GTB Nagar is also near to the college, which provides a good getaway to hangout with friends.
Whether to go for this college or not totally depends on the other alternatives you have. Here is my view: Ramjas < KMC < Sri Venkateshwara < Hansraj < Hindu.
The college is not as gigantic as some private colleges, but it is beautifully designed with a main building and a science block. There are all the required facilities like gymnasium, activities center(with cricket ground, basketball court and other sports), medical room, common rooms for both boys and girls with free WiFi facility. The washrooms and the classrooms are well-maintained with smart boards ; canteen has a diverse menu with food available at affordable prices.
I am pursuing a degree in statistics, and KM college is known for its science courses. The faculty in the college is experienced and diligent. The curriculum, except for a few courses, is up to date with all the necessary modifications. The academic aspect of this college is efficient with smooth internal processes and emphasis on practical approach by making students learn through computer soft-wares (like MS Excel).
Though placements are fairly average for the statistics' students, as few companies visit the campus for statistics' students, the students pursuing B.com and Economics are immensely benefited from the recruitment drives. The average package is around 5 lakh; well established companies visit the college like Deloitte and EY for mass recruitment. Moreover, the placement cell of the college is very active and strives to make maximum jobs and internships available for the students.
KM college is fairly affordable in terms of the tuition fees and other expenses, and rightly so as my one year fee is just approximately 10,000. So, having done graduation from a prestigious institution of Delhi University at 30k(approx) is just similar to a blessing. Furthermore, considering the facilities and the academic curricula, Km college is just worthwhile.
The crowd of KM is just pretty amazing. I have friends from such diverse backgrounds which is like a different experience altogether, as you learn about different cultures and traditions. The campus has spacious lawns for sitting and having a gala time with friends. The sports department is remarkable with opportunities available for students in nearly every sport. The cultural societies like dramatics, music and dance societies and educational societies which make campus life more enthralling.
For me, KM college was an ocean of opportunities which helped me discover my skills as I was a part of its dramatics society and the finance cell. Every college has some or the other limitations which are inevitable but i would recommend this college as the pros will definitely overpower the cons.
The college is very well built and it has been successful in maintaining a high quality of infrastructure from the past many years. The classes are well equipped with all the necessary facilities. The library is huge, providing ample of books and hence enhancing the learning experience. The college does not have girls hostel and we can expect it really soon.
The curriculum is upto mark and is updated regularly to equip the students with all sort of practical and theoretical knowledge. The teachers hold years of experience and are very well versed with their particular subjects.
The placements provided by the college are quite decent. The average package offered is 4 lakhs and the highest salary is around 11 lakhs. The placement cell is very active and privodes full assistance to students for getting them placed.
The entire course costs around 20000 for three years. You will have the best learning experience with a very small amount of investment.
The campus life is very happening. The college has various societies to suit your interests and to add a thrilling experience to your college life.
The infrastructure comes to be satisfactory with the things that are affirmatively related and important. Although a sense of being a government institution always comes as the prior one. Of course if talking about the labs and the availability of the needed equipments over there, the facilities are at the part of appraisal. The classrooms and the smart rooms are damn clean and academic friendly. So overall the infra of the college is quite pretty.
I while pursuing the Bachelor in Political Science makes myself at the par of justifying the importance of the course and the trendy subject material to myself and my frontiersman. The way the professors deepen themselves at the grounds of teaching is really admirable. The mist outstanding thing about the academia is that the college organizes different seminars sessions and all as part of curricular activities.
The placement rate of the college is quite good. Maximum number of the students who actually sit for the placements get the best offer from the best corporates earning them the value if studying in the institution.
Nice infrastructure, facilities and equipment. The facilities in classroom ,labs and libraries , sports center and hostels . They are all used and well maintained. The living space is clean and food is hygienic.
The course I'm doing is soo good. And teaching quality is also nice . The curriculum is updated and has all recent developments in the field. The study also makes us job ready and effective in getting jobs
The college offers good placements . The percentage of students is placed well. The highest salary package offered is very nice. The course i go in is best. The average salary offered is good. The placement process is easy.
The infrastructure of college is very good . There are ac in every lab and lecture theatre.Wifi is provided in whole college campus for the students. The canteen of the college use best quality food products.
There are well trained professors for every stream . Professor are student friendly and also act as a mentor for a group of students. Student can share any kind of personal problems with them. Overall academic are good
As I m from zoology there are not good options for placements under zoology but for other streams arts and commerce there are good placement options a placement cell is provided in the college which is joined by many students.
The institution is under central government that's why fees are very less . Zoology fees cost around 11 k for a year. They can be afforded by a middle class man. Main expenditure lies in the place to saty in delhi. Hostles are not sufficient for the no of students in the college
Campus life is the best I think . The area is students area and it is the safest place in delhi for students. There are lot of options around colleges where one cat ear good quality food. Kamla market is around the college.
The college has necessary infrastructure, facility and equipment. The facilities in classroom are satisfying as in labs in laboratories and in libraries as well rhe space is clean and well hygienic and good
The studying is good and quality of teaching is nice. The curriculum is updated and recent developments in the field the study makes us job ready as well . The things are good and makes us good in living
Placements made are good enough to give us a confidence level that is quite good. The process is easy and salary offered is good. The college is supportive and package is also good . The percentage is good.
The candidates need to secure more than 720 out of 800 in CUET ug for KMC college. For obc candidates in this score the available options are KMC, Ramjas, DRC & Venky.
If you want to get top colleges of DU LIKE Hindu ,Stephens & LSR the cut off is expected to be 740+ For the candidates who belongs to OBC category
Colleges like miranda, Hansraj has lower cutoff among all.
For obc categories 720+ is enough for most of North campus colleges.
