MGM CET Mumbai Admission Process
The College of Engineering and Technology (MGM CET), Navi Mumbai, is famous for its various engineering courses at bachelor's and master's levels. Admission procedures of MGM CET are an exhaustive way of sifting through deserving candidates for various programs on offer. Admission processes into the MGM CET include Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) into various engineering and technology programs in the state of Maharashtra. The MHT CET for the academic year in question probably was held on April 8, 2025, online, with regard to the PCB group (Physics, Chemistry, Biology).
As a rule, a candidate for the undergraduate programs would be made eligible for admission if he/she passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects (confirm with admission office on eligibility). Separate qualifying criteria are likely to be fixed for respective program categories of applicants. Note that MGM CET provides reservations as per the Government of Maharashtra norms. Usually, the admission procedure will start after the announcement of MHT CET results. Candidates who qualify in the entrance examination will then go through a centralized admission process conducted by the state authorities. Allotment of seats will finally depend upon the candidate's merit in the MHT CET, his/her prior academic achievements, and availability in the preferred program.
Application Process
The normal procedure for applications for admission into MGM CET would have the following steps:
1. Register and appear for the MHT CET examination. The MHT CET examination has been tentatively fixed for 8th April 2025, for the coming academic year.
2. After the MHT CET results are out, eligible candidates will apply for the central admission process conducted by state authorities.
3. Fill up the online application form for MGM CET giving accurate personal and academic information.
4. Upload all related documents, including:
- MHT CET score card
- Mark sheets of 10th and 12th standards
- Domicile certificate (if applicable)
- Category certificate (for candidates under the reserved category)
- Recent passport-sized photographs
5. Payment of the application fee prescribed by the institute.
6. Counseling sessions in which candidates will be allotted seats based on their MHT CET rank, preferences, and availability of seats.
7. He/she will have to report to the institute after allotment of seat at MGM CET for verification of documents and admission within the stipulated period.
8. It is mandatory to pay the required tuition fee for admission: Total fees for B.E. programs in MGM CET = Rs. 3,24,720.
Admission Procedure (program-wise)
B.E.: MGM-CET is offering different B.E. programs namely Computer Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, and Data Science. Admissions into these programs are usually on the basis of the MHT CET scores. The total intake of the institute for the various B.E. programs is 630 with Computer Engineering being the highest intake of 180 seats.
M.E.: MGM CET is granting the M.E. degree for Chemical Engineering, Structural Engineering, and Biomedical Engineering. No clear information regarding M.E. admissions has been received, but one could assume it to be based on GATE scores or a university entrance exam, followed by counselling.

Academics
The Teachers are good and helpful. Library is available for students with books related to their academic courses. Assignments and Internal assessments are taken on the given dates. It helps students to be ready for their end semester exams.
College Infra
The overall college infrastructure is good.
The campus is very spacious and contains greenery.
It has grounds, basketball courts, lecture halls, reading rooms with air-conditioning, canteen and cafes for students.
Wi-Fi is available for students to use.
The only thing is your network doesn't work till you are in the college.
Campus Life
The campus has basketball courts, canteens and cafes. The students can engage in events, fests and sports actively.
Cultural events takes place and teachers encourage students to take participation in such events.
Placements
The placement are okay. You have to apply for off-campus interships as well.
The salary package can be from low to average packages depending upon the experience and understanding of the students. Not the best in placement opportunities.
Value For Money
The college fee is reasonable considering the facilities they provide.
They provide air conditioning in reading rooms and lecture halls.Also library contains upto date books which are useful for academics

Academics
The academics at this college may seem a bit fashioned and focused on theory when you compare them to other top engineering colleges. The quality of teaching is not the same for every subject and they wish they could learn things that would be useful, in the real world. Students who really get involved in projects, internships and learning on their own can still get very good at engineering skills. Overall the college is a good place for engineering students to learn, especially for students who are willing to work hard.
College Infra
The infrastructure at Mahatma Gandhi Missions College of Engineering and Technology is okay. Has the basic things students need for studies and campus life.
The campus is big and clean with lots of plants around which makes it a calm place to study.
The college also has sports grounds, a canteen, hostels and buses which makes life on campus easier.
It is a place for students to learn and grow.
The college tries to make campus life comfortable, for students.
Campus Life
Students at Mahatma Gandhi Missions College of Engineering and Technology get to take part in lots of things like events and cultural festivals.
Many students at Mahatma Gandhi Missions College of Engineering and Technology like that their fellow students are supportive. The campus atmosphere in Navi Mumbai is peaceful.
This helps students feel comfortable when they are studying.
The college has events that keep students engaged when they are not, in class.
Placements
The placement support at this college can be better. They should try to get good companies to come and hire students. This will give freshers chances to get a job.. If you really work hard on things like coding and talking to people and if you get some certificates and do internships you can still get a good job either from outside the college or from the companies that come to the college. So the placement is okay, for students who really want to learn and keep getting better at things while they are studying. Students who want to get paid a lot of money might not be happy.
Value For Money
When we think about placements and getting to know people on campus and getting chances to work with companies some students do not think it is a deal. This college is better for students who want to learn things on their own and get experience from internships and other things outside of college. Some students, like this college because it does not cost a lot and the teachers are nice. Other students think the college does not have as many good things to offer as other colleges that are considered better.

The college is a good place to learn. It has a traditional way of teaching. Some people think it is too focused on theory. Compared to top engineering colleges it may not be as modern.
Some students think that the teachers are not all equally good at teaching. They think the college should teach things that are used in the real World.

The campus is really big and clean. There is a lot of greenery around which makes it a great place to study. The Mahatma Gandhi Missions College of Engineering and Technology classrooms and labs are in shape especially for the main engineering classes. The library at the Mahatma Gandhi Missions College of Engineering and Technology has a lot of books and other things to help students study. The Mahatma Gandhi Missions College of Engineering and Technology also has sports fields, a place to eat and a hostel where students can stay. They even have buses to take students where they need to go which makes life on campus a lot easier for students, at the Mahatma Gandhi Missions College of Engineering and Technology.

The number of companies that come to the campus is not that high. The packages they offer are also not that great. Students say that the average package is fine for a college, like Mahatma Gandhi Missions College of Engineering and Technology.. To get a good job students have to work hard on their own skills. They have to do internships and work on projects. They cannot just rely on the college to get them a job. The Mahatma Gandhi Missions College of Engineering and Technology placement is decent. Students need to put in their own effort to get a good job.
Value For Money
If your main goal is to get an engineering degree without spending much money and you are ready to work hard to advance your career then this college can be a good choice for the price.
The college is an option because it offers a reasonable cost for an engineering degree.
If you want really good job placements, the best infrastructure or a campus that is always busy with activities you might think this college is just okay when it comes to what you get for your money.
This college can provide an engineering degree at a reasonable cost, which is the main goal, for many students.
