MRK College of Architecture, Veeravasaram Admission Process

MRK College of Architecture at Veeravasaram is an architecturally oriented college built for that very purpose. This college fosters an ambiance for the growth of aspiring architects in sprawling surroundings of the West Godavari District. The candidates, wishing to join MRK College of Architecture, are selected through a process that identifies skilled students driven by a strong passion for architecture. Entrance into MRK College of Architecture is primarily from the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA). NATA is an examination of national importance, arguably the most important examination for admission to architecture courses in India. 

It tests the aptitude and skills of a candidate relative to the study of architecture.  In order to be eligible for the B.Arch course, candidates must have completed intermediate (10+2) education or equivalent from a recognized board. The admission cycle commences roughly around the time of the NATA exam, which is conducted thrice a year. Therefore, aspirants must consult the official NATA website and the MRK College of Architecture information for confirmation about NATA exam dates, application dates, and result announcement dates. 

Application Process

The admission process of Mrk College of Architecture, Veeravasaram, is as follows:

1. NATA Registration and Examination: First, candidates should absolutely register for the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (hereinafter referred to as NATA) and sit for it. The exam can be conducted up to three times a year, considering which the best score will be applicable for admission.

2. Application to College: After securing their NATA scores, the candidates would directly apply to MRK College of Architecture. The application would involve filling of the application form either online or offline, and this would depend on how the college has provided the application.

3. Documents Submission: The applicants should submit the filled application form along with all relevant documents such as

  • 10th and 12th-standard mark sheets,
  • NATA score card,
  • Proof of date of birth,
  • Category certificate (if applicable),
  • Any other document asked for by the college.

4. Merit List Preparation: The college prepares a merit list based on the applicant's NATA score and academic performance.

5. Shortlisting and Counseling: Candidates in the merit list will, upon the announcement of the results, be called for counseling, and the allotment of seats will be made according to merit and availability.

6. Admission Confirmation: Candidates who are found suitable will pay the necessary fees in confirmation of admission and will submit their original documents for verification, etc.

7. Orientation Programme: The orientation program is usually conducted just prior to the opening of classes for all admitted candidates.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Arch:  The college runs a full-time, 5-year program for the Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch). This is the primary and presently only course on offer at the institution, designed in such a way that students are well grounded in architectural principles and practices. The college is sanctioned an intake of 20 seats for the beginner's architectural program so that to afford focus and timely attention to every single student in an intensified way.

The selection of candidates for admission to the Bachelor of Architecture program is based on the merit of the candidates in the NATA examination. The major assessment for admission thus rests with the NATA score. Candidates who have cleared their 10+2 or equivalent examination with Mathematics as a subject are eligible to apply. As the number of candidates stands at a mere 20, the battle for these placements has undoubtedly been stiff, favoring high scorers in NATA and candidates with good academic backgrounds.
