The institute-the Nandi Institute of Technology and Management Sciences (NITMS), Bangalore has ever since been conducting program-wise admission processes almost entirely on merit for engineering and management. The institute is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU); it is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). This way of selection assures fair and competitive selection of candidates. Undergraduate engineering programs are granted admissions through COMEDK UGET, while Karnataka PGCET is for postgraduate management programs. The admissions process typically runs with these entrance exams. Usually COMEDK UGET occurs in May and Karnataka PGCET is run later in the year.
For undergraduate admission, students should have completed education up to 10+2 level with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the core subjects. The college observes the eligibility set forth by COMEDK UGET, a certain minimum percentage in the qualifying examination required. The right to conduct entrance COMEDK UGET (the main entrance for B.E. programs) on 9 May 2025 was vested in this institute. It will be a computer-based test designed to test the knowledge of candidates in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Candidates must stay well prepared in these three subjects in order to secure a good ranking in the entrance. For MBA admission, the candidate needs to write Karnataka PGCET. The exact dates for the coming Karnataka PGCET are usually unavailable, as it is conducted every year for admission to one year's sessions of postgraduate programs in the state.
Application Process
The application process at NITMS differs from program to program.
For B.E. Programs:
1. Registration and appearance for COMEDK UGET on May 9, 2025.
2. Based on the results, eligible candidates can participate in the counseling process.
3. During the counseling process, select NITMS along with the preferred engineering courses.
4. On allotment of the seat, the candidate needs to report to NITMS for document verification and admission formalities.

2. After results, participate in the centralized counseling process for MBA admissions in Karnataka.
3. Select NITMS as your preferred institute during counseling.
4. If allotted, complete the admission process at NITMS.

Degree wise Admission Process
B.E. (Bachelor of Engineering): NITMS offers five B.E. programs: Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Information Science and Engineering. Admission to these programs is primarily on the basis of the COMEDK UGET. Candidates have to obtain a 10+2 qualification with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and meet the cutoff ranks determined by the COMEDK.
MBA (Master of Business Administration): The MBA program at NITMS will be following the Karnataka PGCET scores-based admission process. Prospective students must have a bachelor's degree from any recognized university to qualify for admission. The selection process may include the consideration of the entrance exam score, the academic performance in the qualifying degree, and possibly a personal interview.
