Nayagarh Institute of Engineering and Technology (NIET) is situated in Nayagarh, Odisha. The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has approved this institute. NIET offers diploma programs in diversified Engineering disciplines. The admission used to take place on merit, which was mainly followed by the Diploma Entrance Test (DET).

Application Process

1. Eligibility: Eligibility to be established by completion of 10th standard with Mathematics and Science as compulsory subjects.

2. DET Registration: Fill the DET Entrance form (Diploma Entrance Test) to be carried out by the concerned authority in Odisha.

3. DET Examination: Further on appearing for the DET, candidates will face such subjects as Mathematics, Science, and general aptitude.

4. Result Declaration: Candidates should wait for their results from the DET; those who qualify shall be called for counseling.

6. Document Verification: If allotted a seat, candidates should report to NIET for document verification. Prepare the following documents:

7. Fee Payment: After verification, pay the admission fee to reserve the seat.

8. Final Admission: Finish all additional processes in the institute to finalize the admission.

Degree-wise Admissions Procedure

• Diplomas in Civil Engineering: 51 seats; admission is actually based on scores acquired in DET entrance examination. Fitting for students intended towards infrastructure and construction.

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering: 51 seats; selection is under merit basis on score in DET. This is an option best suited for the student's interests in electrical systems and power distribution.

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering: 51 seats; admission through the score of the DET exam. Students fascinated by the field of machine design and manufacturing would find this course a very good option.

• Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering: 51 seats; admissions through DET entrance. This will suit the pupils interested in electronic systems and communication technologies.
