The NITTE University, Mangalore was established in the year 2008. It was declared to be a “Deemed to be University” by the Ministry of Human Resource Development on June 4, 2008. NITTE University offers diploma, UG, PG and PhD in the disciplines of medicine, allied health sciences, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, physiotherapy, speech and audiology, biological sciences, media and communication and architecture.
NITTE University offers various courses that include MBBS, B.Sc, B.Tech, BDS, B.Arch, MD, B.Pharma, BCA, BBA, M.Ch, MS, MDS, M.Pharma and many other courses are offered. NITTE University Mangalore MBBS and BDS admissions are based on NEET UG scores. Candidates approaching for NITTE University B.Arch admissions are based on the scores obtained in the NATA entrance examination. The candidates have to register for the counselling process, once the results are announced. During the counselling registration, candidates have to select NITTE University Mangalore as their preferred college. NITTE University, Mangalore offers admission to diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate courses in multiple specialisations. NITTE University Mangalore admissions are merit-based as well as entrance-based. Candidates are offered admission to diploma courses based on their performance in the last qualifying exam. NITTE University Mangalore admission to MBBS and BDS programmes is done on the basis of NEET UG.
Candidates have been admitted to the NITTE University B.Arch programme through a valid score in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA). For admission to remaining UG courses, candidates are shortlisted based on their performance in the merit in the qualifying exam. NITTE University admission to B.Tech, M.Tech and MCA is done through the NUCAT (Nitte University Common Admission Test) conducted by NITTE University. NITTE Mangalore admission to PhD is done based on candidates’ performance in the Written Entrance Test and interview conducted by the university. Candidates willing to take admissions must satisfy the NITTE University UG eligibility criteria.
Appear and qualify for the necessary entrance exam depending upon the desired course.

The college has every necessary infrastructure for reasearch purpose. The campus is currently shifting to a new building with more class capacity and bigger library facilities. The labs are well maintained as well.

College Infrastructure
The infrastructure is great. Well equipped labs. Practicals are stressed upon as they should be. The hostel is pretty good and hygienic. Football, volleyball, basketball facilities are all there on campus along with the accomodation.
