It applies the principles of engineering, physics and materials science for the design, analysis, manufacturing and maintenance of mechanical systems. It is the branch of engineering that involves design, production and operation of machinery.
Eligibility Criteria
- A pass in the 12th standard or equivalent examination with not less than 45% marks as an aggregate in the optional subjects of Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Computers/Electronics, with English being one of the languages of study.
- The candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission.
Admission Details
Candidates who have passed Class 12 in India, fall under General Category. Admission to Engineering program under General Category is based on merit in the All India Entrance Test - NUCAT (Nitte University Common Admission Test).
