PDM Institute of Engineering and Technology, Jind (PDMIET) is situated at Karsindhu, Safidon, Jind, Haryana. The established institution and provides diploma courses in various engineering fields. The admission process of the institute is made short and simple for the aspiring students. PDMIET is through the merit-based selection process regarding the aforementioned courses. Admissions are purely dependent on the qualifying examination performance of the candidate. 

This arrangement creates opportunities for deserving candidates with an academic background that is strong from previous studies to pursue their preferred courses of engineering. For an applicant to become eligible for admission, a candidate must have completed the education of 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board. The percentage criteria differ for each course; however, a good score in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics is usually preferred.

Application Process

The application for admission to PDM Institute of Engineering and Technology, Jind is very easy, quite straightforward, and student-friendly. The application process is explained below step wise:

1. Notification-The commencement of the admission process for the year is declared by the institute on its official website and other media channels.

2. Application Form: Candidates interested can procure the admission application form from the institute's admission office or download it from its official website.

3. Filling the Form: After procuring the application form, the applicants require filling in their application forms accurately keeping personal and educational details in mind. All information provided should be correct and support documents must verify it.

4. Document Submission: The following documents will be submitted with the completed application form:

• 10th and 12th mark sheet and certificates
• Character certificate from the last institution attended
• Transfer certificate
• Recent passport-size photographs
• Any other relevant certificates/documents prescribed by the Institute

5. Application Submission: The filled application form along with all required documents will be submitted to the PDMIET admission office within the last date

6. Merit List Preparation: The merit list is drawn up by the institute on marks attained in qualifying examination 10+2 or equivalent. 

7. Counselling and Seat Allotment: This is called for a course of counselling after which selection should be done as per merit rank and seat availability.

8. Fee Payment: After allotting a seat, the fee to be paid for securing the admission will have to be paid by the candidates.

9. Final Admission: Consequently, finalization is made after the fee payment and verification of documents, and the student will stand admitted to the relevant diploma program.

Degree wise Admission Process

Diploma Programs: PDMIET currently offers four diploma programs that are full-time and span for a duration of three years. Admission processes for these courses are:

1. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering: This course comprises an approved intake of 90 seats. This course is suited for candidates who understand mathematics and physics from their 10+2 studies.
2. Diploma in Civil Engineering: This program takes in students with 60 students and looks for students with an aptitude for structural design and environmental studies.
3. Diploma in Electrical Engineering: The course has 30 seats available. Students well suited for this program have a keen interest in electrical systems and mathematics.
4. Diploma in Computer Engineering: This system has 30 seats, and it is also beneficial for those students interested in computer science and programming.

All these diploma programs accept admission on the merit list prepared from the marks gained in the qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent). There is no indication of a separate entrance exam conducted by the institute.
