      PMCA Cuttack Admission Process

Classically, in the form of PMCA Cuttack, Piloo Mody College of Architecture has gained prominence as that institution providing quality education in architecture. PMCA Cuttack is affiliated with the Council of Architecture. PMCA Cuttack admission process follows a rigorous process for the selection of the most talented and deserving students. The PMCA Cuttack admission process is done on the basis of one criterion: a national-level entrance examination. B.Arch admissions depend upon the NATA and JEE Main Paper-2 performance of the student. They are internationally recognised tests assessing the student's drawing aptitude, aesthetic sensitivity, and mathematical ability, all of which are essential to study architecture.

The PMCA Cuttack admission process for postgraduate courses varies; postgraduate admissions at PMCA Cuttack will stem from the GATE or PGAT admission test. For the M.Arch Executive programme, entrance into the programme will depend on performance in these two tests. So in general, the minimum eligibility requirements for undergraduates would thus be successful completion of the 10+2 examination from a Central or State board recognised. For postgraduate courses, the applicant should have completed the bachelor's degree from the recognised university for that particular stream.

      Academics

I studied B.Arch from the college. The quality of teaching was good. The teachers were friendly, helpful and had lots of experience in the practical field. Hence, our academics were taken care of. Our curriculum is updated every 5 years, keeping in mind the latest requirements of the students.

      College Infra

The college has spacious studios, all of which are naturally ventilated. We also had a large library where lots of books, magazines, and theses could be found for reference. We also had a basketball court where the students would indulge in either basketball or futsal.

      Placements

Given that it is an architectural college, we generally do not have placements as such. But still, many architects do visit during the thesis finale, and they do hire students. Also, the college provides ample opportunities to do networking with the people outside.

      Value For Money

We had to pay INR for 1,00,000 per year as academic fees. Since then the fees have increased. But we need to keep in mind that architecture itself is an expensive course.
