B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2029-01-01
Academics
Everything is good. The teachers are also helpful, and the exams are conducted on time. The only issue is that the results take a long time to be announced. Other than that, everything is fine and everything is good.
College Infra
Yes, the college has decent infrastructure with good facilities and the required equipment. Overall, everything is good. It's not the best, but it's a decent college with all the basic things students need.
Campus Life
In my opinion, campus life is quite good. The seniors are friendly and always willing to help the juniors. Overall, the environment is great.
Placements
You can get a placement through the college with a salary of around ₹25,000–30,000 per month through campus recruitment. But if you want a higher package, you’ll have to look for off-campus opportunities.
Value For Money
Considering the amount you're spending to pursue your B.Tech at this college, I think it's worth the investment. The fees aren't too high, especially if you're getting admission through counseling.

B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2024-01-01
Academics
Ramgarh Engineering College's academic framework is robust, offering a range of B.Tech programs with NBA accreditation for select disciplines and a new BCA program. The college's commitment to outcome-based education, qualified faculty, and student support through GATE and employability coaching reflects a strong educational environment. With a favorable student-to-faculty ratio and positive student feedback, the college is well-positioned to prepare students for industry and higher studies, though continuous improvement in teaching strategies could further enhance the academic experience.
College Infra
Ramgarh Engineering College's infrastructure is robust, offering modern labs, a well-resourced library, and essential amenities like hostels and sports facilities. Recognitions like ISO 9001:2015 and NBA accreditation underscore its quality. However, student feedback highlights challenges such as Wi-Fi reliability and limited campus space, suggesting ongoing efforts could focus on addressing these to enhance the overall experience. The overall rating of 3.5/5 reflects a balanced view, with strengths in academics and infrastructure, though placements and campus life present areas for potential improvement.
Campus Life
Ramgarh Engineering College (REC) in Jharkhand offers a moderately engaging campus life on its 24-acre campus. With facilities like hostels, sports grounds, and an auditorium, students have opportunities for extracurricular activities and social interaction. The college hosts cultural festivals, sports meets, and national celebrations, fostering a sense of community.
Key Activities
Students participate in sports like cricket, football, basketball, and volleyball, alongside cultural activities such as poetry and painting. Annual fests and events like Independence Day celebrations create a lively atmosphere. However, some students note limited space for extracurriculars due to the campus size.
Student Experience
Rated 3.5–3.7/5 for campus life on platforms like Shiksha and Careers360, students appreciate the environment but cite issues like unreliable Wi-Fi and poor hostel food quality. Ragging concerns have also been mentioned, though the Dean of Student Welfare oversees student well-being.
Placements
Ramgarh Engineering College offers moderate placement opportunities, with a 60% placement rate in 2022 and salary packages ranging from 3.0 LPA to 20 LPA. Top recruiters like Accenture, TCS, and Infosys provide opportunities, particularly for Computer Science and Electronics students. The placement cell’s training programs and internship opportunities (70% participation) enhance employability, but challenges include inconsistent placement rates, reliance on off-campus jobs, and limited high-paying offers. Prospective students should focus on branches with stronger placement records and actively engage in placement preparation to maximize outcomes.
Value For Money
Ramgarh Engineering College offers good value for money, particularly for students seeking a quality engineering education in Jharkhand. With annual fees of Rs 67,125–76,325 for B.Tech programs, the college provides modern infrastructure, qualified faculty, and reasonable placement opportunities (average starting salary Rs 4–5 LPA). Student reviews rate the value for money between 3.5 and 4 out of 5, indicating that the education and opportunities provided justify the cost. While it may not compete with top-tier institutions like IITs or BIT Mesra, it is a solid choice for students looking for a balanced combination of affordability and quality in regional engineering education.
