Various engineering and management programmes are not offered only by Rishi Institute of Engineering and Technology (RIET), but also by other institutes located in Meerut. RIET Meerut admission process follows a merit-based process, which ensures eligibility for only those candidates who are qualified for admission in different courses. The programmes offered by RIET Meerut accept nationally recognised entrance exam scores during the final stages of admission, ensuring high standards in the selection of students for enrollment.
B.Tech programme candidates are considered as per scores scored in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main. This national-level examination is recognised throughout the country for being used in the RIET Meerut admissions process for undergraduate courses in most engineering programmes. With that, the institute offers B.Tech courses in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering.
Seating capacity in diploma courses at RIET is determined based on the Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination Polytechnic (JEECUP). This has proved beneficial as students entering into the diploma courses have a good understanding of the basics of mathematics and science. Diploma courses offered by the institute are in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Automobile Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.

The admission process at RIET Meerut is designed to be clear, straightforward, and easy to follow for all applicants.
Five B.Tech programmes are offered by RIET with an aggregate intake of 150. JEE Main score is the criterion for RIET Meerut admission process. The specialties are Computer Science and Engineering; Electronics and Communication Engineering; Information Technology; Mechanical Engineering; and Civil Engineering, with each having a sanctioned intake of 30 seats. The general eligibility is completion of 10+2 with core subjects being Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
Four diploma programmes are conducted by the institute to take in 240 students in total. RIET Meerut admission process for these programmes are through JEECUP. Courses that are offered include Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Automobile Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering; each has an approved intake of 60 students. Commonly, eligibility includes completion of 10th standard, taken with consideration of mathematics and science subjects.
RIET offers an MBA programme approved intake of 60 students. Although information about RIET Meerut admission process is not mentioned, it can most probably be assumed that the institute will consider the scores of management entrance examinations. Generally, eligibility requires a bachelor's degree in any discipline with minimum percentage as stipulated by the institute.
