Samrat Ashok Technological Institute Polytechnic College, Vidisha is very well organized and has the approvals of AICTE and affiliation from the state government. This college offers several diploma courses in several branches of engineering, concentrated towards providing good technical education to aspiring engineers.

The admission process of Samrat Ashok Technological Institute Polytechnic College is handled by the Director of Technical Education, Madhya Pradesh. The aspiring students must appear for Pre-Polytechnic Test (PPT), which is conducted by Vyavasayik Pariksha Mandal (Professional Examinations Board), an autonomous organization of Madhya Pradesh State Government.

Based on the merit list of PPT, the admission of the candidates to all the diploma courses of the college is considered as an admission criterion. The sole purpose of this is to ensure fairness and transparency in the admission process of all professional courses offered in the State. Application Process

The application process for Samrat Ashok Technological Institute Polytechnic College, Vidisha is as follows:

1. The candidates have to register for the Pre-Polytechnic Test (PPT) conducted by the Vyavasayik Pariksha Mandal (Professional Examinations Board) of Madhya Pradesh.

2. After registering, candidates will fill the application form for appearing in PPT by entering all the essential information regarding his/her name and academia.

3. The candidates are to pay the required application fees for the PPT.

4. The applicants are required to be present in the examination on their respective date at the examination centre.

5. The qualified candidates may now go for the counseling which would be conducted by the Director of Technical Education, Madhya Pradesh, after the announcement of the results of PPT.

6. Candidates will present their options for courses and colleges during counseling based on their ranks in the PPT.

7. Allotment of seats shall be done according to ranks, choice of the candidate for a course, and the availability of seats.

8. Candidates shall subsequently report to Samrat Ashok Technological Institute Polytechnic College for document verification against admission.

9. The documents to be submitted during the admission process by candidates are

10. After the document verification is done, the candidates are required to pay the admission fees to secure their seats.

Degree-Wise Admission Process

Diploma in Chemical Engineering: The program admits 90 students, whose admission is based on the merit list of PPT and counseling conducted by the Director of Technical Education, Madhya Pradesh.

Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering: The final intake approved is 90 students: The same admission process is followed as for other diploma programs.

Diploma in Civil Engineering: The institute avails 60 seats for this program. Clearing the PPT and attending counseling is a must for admission.

Diploma in Electrical Engineering: This also has an intake of 60 students; the procedure is similar to other diplomas, based on the performance in PPT and attending the counseling.

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering: 60 seats have been available for admission to this program. Admission is offered using the normal procedure by PPT and counseling.

Diploma in Automobile Engineering: This is a specialized program with an intake of 30 students. Admission is based through merit list for PPT counseling.

Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering: Admission through the same method as in other diploma programs for 30 seats has been offered by the Institute.

Diploma in Integrated Circuit Manufacturing: A special program is also allowed 30 seats. Admission relies on PPT testing results and counseling.
