Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is a three-year full-time course offered by the Directorate of Technical Education, Bangalore, and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Eligibility Criteria

The Candidate Passes in SSLC or equivalent exam.
Reservation is applicable to Karnataka candidates only. There is a branch-wise ceiling of 20% of intake for students from outside Karnataka.
Candidates educated under CBSE, ICSE, or other boards should produce an ‘Eligibility Certificate issued by the Board of Technical Examinations, Directorate of Technical Education, Bangalore.

Admission Details

Admissions will be based on combined merit in the qualifying exam (Karnataka SSLC/equivalent) and entrance examination conducted by Sandur Polytechnic.
Entrance Examination and Counselling
A 90-minute test in Mathematics and Science (equal weightage), based on the Std 10 syllabus.
