With this score you have less chances for the branches related to Oil and Gas Domain. But you can try for CSE & Fire Safety. It has also good placement record.

The chances are less to get admission in top branches like Petroleum, CSE-cyber security, ADE, Aerospace. You can have the chances for the other branches like Electrical, electronics, power systems, ICE, mechanical etc.

Is cs-IT infra is good in UPES Dehradun

UPES is very well-known for its Engineering programs and moreover it collaborates with the industry giants for its B.Tech. Computer Science Programs.
As per Careers360 rating, It is a good college for engineering studies. (Rating- AAA+)

Placements are good. Average package is approx 6 lakhs for CSE and otherwise it

what is the average package if I do petroleum engineeringfrom upes??

Placements are decent in UPES. It's not very different from the placements from other colleges. But yes, average placement is somewhat around 3-3.5 LPA.

Both the colleges are good. You can choose the college according to your branch preference. If you want to compare both the branches then CSE has more scope than chemical engineering.

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of the university of petroleum and energy studies is very beautiful. It is located between the mountains and the scene is very peaceful and happy everyday. Lab are pretty decent and well equipped.

The infrastructure is great of this college. The area around the college is vey peaceful and the internal area is very well equipped with all the facilities. Students are allowed to use all the resources.
