One of the best colleges in India for mbbs

    College Infrastructure

The college has an appealing infrastructure. The lecture halls are well maintained and spacious. The laboratories and theatres are well equipped and contains enough specimens for practice. Enough facilities for extra activities like sports are also provided. The hostels are clean and hygienic and the food is also good.

    Academics

Good academic record. The professors are well experienced and supportive. They are always approachable and are always ready to help us with our doubts. The curriculum is updated. Lecture classes are very effective and timely exams are also conducted. I am an MBBS student.

    Placements

As for mbbs, placements are not much relevant. Many of the final year students get posted as interns, where they receive a nominal amount of stipend. Many of our seniors also pursue higher studies like Md after their mbbs course.

    Value for Money

Good value for money. The facilities they provide and the education quality is all worth the money.

    Campus Life

Good campus life. Most of the celebrations are conducted here with much enthusiasm. The campus is always active.

    Others

Excellent experience at SIMS. The experience and the education here is worth it. Its a lifetime experience.

In all it is a very good college to complete your mbbs in

    College Infrastructure

Infrastructure is upto the mark with well established lecture halls, laboratories and campus interior. Sports facilities are good. Hostels are maintained fairly good for a government college. Food is hygienic.

    Academics

No shortage of faculties and well scheduled classes taken on time. Well qualified professors are available.classes going according to the revised curriculum and according to a well planned schedule with tests conducted regularly.

    Placements

As it's an mbbs college placements are not really an added advantage. The intern postings are good as far I've heard with a good average monthly stipend which is given on time and without delay......

    Value for Money

The college fee is at around 65k for state quota and 80k for all india quota students. Which is fairly adequate for the facilities provided. The hostel fees is a bit expensive in my opinion. But overall good value for money.

    Campus Life

Cultural events go around all year round and stay eventful and cheerful celebration. Annual day, sports and various other events are just some of the events that are celebrated here. All the regional events are celebrated.

Have a question related to SIMS Shimoga ?

    Hi there,

I hope you are doing well. I would like to tell you that this platform is for subject related queries not for places or destinations.

And if you are asking for these places for study perspective then it totally depends on your college choice, stream and course.

    Hi

In neet 2019 , a rank of 55543, and 490 marks was required in neet for general category for getting a seat in Shimoga Institute of Medical Sciences, Shimoga under Karnataka state quota

But cut off marks for medical colleges keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination etc.

So , you should try to get at least around 500 marks and a rank of around 50000 or less  to be on the safer side in your neet 2020 examination if you want to get into Shimoga Institute of Medical Sciences, Shimoga

    Thankyou
