Shiv Kumar Singh Institute of Technology and Science (SKSITS), Indore, is one of the best-rated institutes providing diversified technical and management courses. The process of admission in SKSITS usually starts with the release of application forms for various courses. The institute has courses at the undergraduate (BE), postgraduate (ME and MBA) level and diploma courses.

Postgraduate admissions to ME and MBA courses can be on the basis of varying eligibility criteria. For ME courses, the candidates generally require a bachelor's degree in the concerned branch of engineering. MBA candidates generally require a bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized university.

Application Process

According to standard procedure, the following should be the procedure:

1. Go to the official SKSITS website and search for the admissions department.

2. Select the selected program (BE, ME, MBA, or Diploma) and check the eligibility criteria.

3. Enter the personal and academic details correctly in the online application form.

4. Attach documents as required, which may include:

• Passport size photograph
• 10th and 12th mark sheets
• Graduation mark sheets (in case of postgraduate programs)
• Entrance test score card (if relevant)
• Category certificate (if relevant)

5. Pay application fee by mode of payment stipulated.

6. Submit filled application form and keep a copy in hand for reference.

7. Make note of dates of entrance tests, counseling, or interviews as the case may be in respect of the selected program.

8. In case of shortlisting, report to the counseling or interview procedure as per schedule.

9. Upon selection, complete admission formalities by producing original documents and paying the fees as required.

Degree wise Admission Process

BE (Bachelor of Engineering): SKSITS offers BE courses of Mechanical Engineering, Fire Technology and Safety Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Information Technology and Engineering. Intake will be from 30 to 90 seats program-wise. The admission will hopefully be merit-based on marks secured in the state-level or national-level entrance exams in engineering.

ME (Master of Engineering): ME programs in different specializations like Power Systems, Industrial Safety Engineering, Structural Engineering, Embedded System and VLSI Design, Computer Science and Engineering, and Industrial Engineering and Management are offered by the institute. All the courses have an intake capacity from 9 to 18 seats. Admission is available based on GATE scores or an entrance examination conducted by the university, followed by counseling.

MBA: SKSITS has an MBA program with a massive intake of 180 seats. Admission to MBA may be shortlisting based on CAT/MAT scores, followed by group discussion and interview.

Diploma Programs: The institute provides diploma programs in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Civil Engineering, each with 60 seats. Admission to these programs may be based on performance in the relevant state-level diploma entrance examination.
