Admission into the courses offered by Shree Vidyadhiraj Polytechnic will be done in collaboration with Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) and NIC. The admission process usually starts by issuing a notification in the state newspapers. The advertisement will be published around the date of the declaration of SSLC results usually in the last week of April or the first week of May. This announcement will also be published on the Department of Technical Education and Karnataka Examination Authority websites.

Students who have passed the ITI are eligible for admission to the 3rd Semester / 2nd Year Diploma through Lateral Entry. Contact the Principals of concerned Polytechnics for more information. Candidates applying in this quota must have secured 35% marks in aggregate in the government-approved JTS (Junior Technical Schools) SSLC. Candidates are eligible for admission only to the reserved seats in the JTS quota. Candidates who have passed the trade related to TS (03 Years) and ITI (Two Years) will be considered for the Diploma Course based on their respective Trade Eligibility.
