Shri Babulalji Agnihotri College of Engineering, Wardha (SBACEW) is one of the prestigious institutions of Sindi (Meghe), Wardha in Maharashtra. Usually, SBACEW's admission process synchronizes with the academic calendar of the state universities in Maharashtra. Dates differ from one year to another; however, the admission process usually playfully kicks off around the months of May-June, right after the declaration of 12th standard results. The college takes admissions into B.Tech in different streams of the engineering field. To be eligible for B.Tech admission at SBACEW, candidates must pass 10+2 from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as a mandatory component.
The college's admission eligibility criteria are in line with that of AICTE concerning entry into engineering courses. This usually requires a minimum of 50% aggregate (45% for reserve category) from the qualifying examination. The college participates in a centralized admission process by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra. Candidates who wish to enroll in the college should qualify underthe Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET) or a national level JEE Main. The objective of this entrance test is to test the students' knowledge in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, who form the basic structure of engineering study.
Application Process
The admission process for SBACEW consists of the following steps:
1. Taking either the MHT-CET or JEE Main is the first step.
2. After that, candidates need to register for the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) conducted by DTE Maharashtra.
3. Candidates will have their documents verified in designated centres as per the schedule announced by DTE.
4. Candidate then fills in college and course preferences during CAP, which includes SBACEW and its offered programs.
5. Thereafter, the candidates are assigned seats based on merit and preferences through multiple rounds of counselling.
6. Once candidates have obtained a seat in SBACEW, he/she must report to college for document verification and payment of fees before the end of a stipulated period.
7. At the end of CAP rounds as prescribed by DTE Maharashtra, any vacant seats would be filled via the institute level admission process.

Eligibility and selection of candidates is through the merit performance of candidates in MHT-CET and JEE Main followed by merit based on the merit list prepared by DTE Maharashtra.
