Eligibility Criteria

The candidate should have passed the 2nd PUC/12th Standard examination with English as one of the Languages and obtained a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics, along with Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Biology/Electronics/Computer Science.
In case of Karnataka SC, ST, and OBC candidates, the minimum aggregate percentage shall be 40%.

Lateral entry:

Passed any Engineering diploma examination or equivalent examination and obtained an aggregate minimum of 45% marks taken together in all the subjects of the final year (Fifth and Sixth semester) diploma examination (qualified examination), is eligible for admission to BE/B. Tech Programmes, and 40% of marks in the qualified examination in case of SC, ST, and Backward Classes of Karnataka candidates.

Those candidates who have completed an Engineering Diploma from a state other than Karnataka shall provide the Equivalence/ Eligibility Certificate issued by the Director of Technical Education, Karnataka

Admission Details

Admissions to HIT are as per the regulations of the Karnataka State Government.
The students have to appear for the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the Government of Karnataka for CET/Management Seats or the ComedK Entrance Test for ComedK/Management. Seats or Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main for Management seats.
