Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate should have passed the 2nd PUC/12th Standard examination with English as one of the Languages and obtained a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics, along with Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Biology/Electronics/Computer Science.
- In case of Karnataka SC, ST, and OBC candidates, the minimum aggregate percentage shall be 40%.
Lateral entry:
- Passed any Engineering diploma examination or equivalent examination and obtained an aggregate minimum of 45% marks taken together in all the subjects of the final year (Fifth and Sixth semester) diploma examination (qualified examination), is eligible for admission to BE/B. Tech Programmes, and 40% of marks in the qualified examination in case of SC, ST, and Backward Classes of Karnataka candidates.
OR
- Those candidates who have completed an Engineering Diploma from a state other than Karnataka shall provide the Equivalence/ Eligibility Certificate issued by the Director of Technical Education, Karnataka
Admission Details
- Admissions to HIT are as per the regulations of the Karnataka State Government.
- The students have to appear for the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the Government of Karnataka for CET/Management Seats or the ComedK Entrance Test for ComedK/Management. Seats or Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main for Management seats.
- The seat distribution as per Karnataka State Govt. regulations for various UG Programs is as follows.
- Unaided Programs: Govt Quota-45%, COMED-K(Management Quota)-30%, Management Quota-25%
