Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering is a four-year full-time undergraduate program recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and offered by the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi.

Eligibility Criteria

The qualifying examination is the 2nd PUC or 10+2 Higher Secondary or equivalent examination recognized by the State / Central Government. The last two years of study shall comprise Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with English as a compulsory subject.

General Merit Candidate should have passed with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% in respect of SC, ST, and OBC candidates of Karnataka state) in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and should have passed these subjects individually. Physics and Mathematics are compulsory along with Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics as one the subjects. However, changes if any, in the eligibility criteria by the AICTE will be adopted.

Admission Details

COMMON ENTRANCE TEST (CET) ONLY FOR KARNATAKA STUDENTS The Government of Karnataka conducts a common Entrance test for admission into various professional courses. The CET is generally conducted during May and the notification will appear in all leading newspapers. A merit list will be prepared based on a 50% weightage for the marks of the qualifying examination and 50% weight for the CET Marks for declaring the CET rank. Seat Matrix is announced, indicating seats available in different colleges in different branches based on the sanctioned intake.

COMEDK BOTH FOR KARNATAKA AND NON-KARNATAKA STUDENTS. The Comdek test for admission into various professional courses will be conducted all over India. The Code is generally conducted during May and the notifications will appear in all leading newspapers. The COMEDK ranking is based on the performance of students in the COMEDK entrance test only. Seat Matrix is announced indicating seats available in a different college in different branches based on the sanctioned intake.

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure is average, but not maintained by the authorities. The buildings looks good from outside but they are in a bad condition from inside. Many equipments are not working proper and they didn't have good lab operators. The college have said that it will give hostels, but it didn't give hostels.
