Sri Sri Institute of Technology and Management, Kanshiram Nagar Admission Process

Sri Sri Institute of Technology and Management Kanshiram Nagar is one of the most reputed institutions offering engineering programs in India. The admission policy at SSITM is inclusive and merit-based to ensure that candidates from all backgrounds will have a chance to pursue their engineering dreams. The students' admission is based on their performance in some of the theoretical-required national as well as state-level entrance examinations, primarily the JEE Main or Uttar Pradesh Combined Entrance Examination (UPCET).

The admission cycle generally coincides with the academic year, which usually begins in August-September. Therefore, all aspiring students are encouraged to start preparing for the entrance exams early-on as it plays a vital role in the admission process. The four B.Tech programs that the institute offers include: 240 seats for Electronics and Communication Engineering, 240 for Computer Science and Engineering, 240 for Mechanical Engineering, and another 240 for Information Technology.

For such B.Tech programs, the qualifying criterion is only passing in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as mandatory subjects in the successful completion of 10+2 or equivalent examination. Cutoff marks for admission to each program may vary year by year, but these subjects are typically very essential in judging against candidates.

One of the most basic parts of the admission process is the JEE Main, which is conducted multiple times in a single year for the admissions of the upcoming classes. Some of the important days for this cycle are:

  • Mode of Examination: Online

  • Result Declaration: Usually within a month after the exam

Candidates are advised to visit the official websites of JEE Main and UPCET time to time to have most current information about the dates of exam, last date for filling application forms, and when to expect announcements of results.

Application Process

The application procedure for Sri Sri Institute of Technology and Management, Kanshiram Nagar consists of the following steps:

  1. Appearance for the JEE Main or UPCET: Either JEE Main or UPCET examinations must be taking, as they are very critical in the admission process.

  2. Check Basic Eligibility: The basic eligibility criteria of subjects in 10+2 and minimum qualifying scores in the entrance exams must have been met.

Degree wise Admission process

B.Tech: SSITM has four B.Tech programs that make up a total of 240 seats. The admission of all B.Tech programs is mainly dependent on performance of JEE Main. Each program consists of 60 seats:

  • B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering

  • B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering

  • B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

  • B.Tech in Information Technology

Eligibility criteria B.Tech programs include:

  • Successful completion of 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects

  • Qualifying score in JEE Main or UPCET

  • Meeting the cutoff rank as determined by the institute for the respective academic yeara
