Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering is four years (8 Semester) full-time undergraduate engineering program offered by SRM Valliammai Engineering College, Kancheepuram and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and approved by AICTE.

Eligibility Criteria

Pass in HSC (Academic) or its equivalent with a minimum average percentage in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, put together as given below.

A pass with Minimum average marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, put together

General Category 45 %
BC including BCM 40 %
MBC & DNC 40 %
SC / SCA / ST 40 %

A pass in any one of the HSC (Vocational Subject) as given below with any one of the Engineering related subject namely Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry, with a minimum average percentage put together as given below.

Admission Details

Candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in the HSC (+2) examination conducted by the state and through counselling (TNEA) conducted by Anna univeristy Chennai, selected candidates are allotted to various colleges for admission. Candidates may also appear directly for admission to the College under Management Quota. Admission forms may be obtained from the college office.

College Infrastructure

Our college provides a friendly and safe environment for the students. The infrastructure of our campus is amazing. We have a good Wi-Fi connection but it can be only used by staff. Earlier electronic gadgets were not allowed inside the campus, but now they are allowing tablets. For hostel students, gadgets are allowed but there is a time limit for using it. The food provided in the hostel is good. There is a separate hostel for both girls and boys and the rooms are adequate. Our college Library

Super collegeThe infrastructure of our college is good. Free wifi campus is provided for all the students. The laboratories are good. The infrastructure is good, and there are no issues in the room. Still, students have to adjust if they are staying with more than 50 people.
