Hi,
It totally depends upon you because at the end you have to make your own decisions , if we  talk about vit , Chennai the fees is quite higher but the infrastructure and teaching facility is good.
But if you try for state government entrance exams and do your mtech from a government college then it will be more better for you as placements are the only thing that matters at the end and you have to go to a top college to increase your chance of a good job .
Hope it helps..

Hi aspirant,

In my opinion, Vellore institute of technology, Chennai will be a much better option than Mahindra University. VIT currently ranks 15th in the nirf engineering rankings and has amazing placement records. It has a world class infrastructure with experienced faculties, well mentained labs, big libraries and follows a strict curriculum. Moreover there are joint placements for Chennai campus students at the Vellore campus so there will be no shortage of opportunities.

While Mahindra university is a very newly established institution and still has to make it in NIRF rankings. The University being a private one too has all the facilities and infrastructure but lags behind in terms of reputation and placement percentages.

The average package for CSE at VIT is around 7.5 lacs while around 7 lacs at Mahindra University but Mahindra university has a fee around 4.7lacs annually but it will range between 2-4 lacs if you get a seat under category 3 at VIT.

Hope it helps!!

All VIT campuses are great. But if you want to go for the one which have the maximum possibility available in terms of placements and offers then I would recommend you to go for VIT vellore over VIT chennai. See VIT velore have more alumni's working in top tech companies in India and abroad so the review of the placements effect on the packages. As well as the faculties are more research oriented in vellore and as you are going for MTech then you should explore the field of research and it will be a benefit for you.

See the placement cell in VIT CHENNAI is very much better compared to that of SRM. Thus if you want a better salary packages and a better chance to get in good corporate sector then I would recommend you to go for VIT instead of SRM.

VIT have a very well organized curriculum such that the curriculum provides adequate skills to work in industry as well as to pursue academia. Also the faculties are very well experienced and are active in research. VIT offers a very good rate of placement about 91%. Thus if you want  admission in CSE among this two then I would say its better to go for VIT CHENNAI. VIT have very good infrastructure which is really  good fact for science students.

Some of the companies visiting the institute are:

Intel, Ebay, Amazon, Dell, GE, Texas Instruments, Schneider Electric, DE Shaw & Co, Hitachi, HP, PayPal, Tata Motors, L&T, Dr. Reddy’s, Bosch, Deloitte, Morgan Stanley, Qualcomm, Ashok Leyland, Honda, Ford, Global Analytics, TCS, Cognizant, Accenture, Wipro and Infosys.

For admission into vit Chennai in mtech integrated course in cse the cutoffs would be very high and in General candidates with 118+ marks will fall under 1-250 ranks and rank with 5000 draw a chance for good branch.both have good placement and the pattern in mtech.

the cut off generally depends on certain factors like:-

1-Number of candidates appearing in that examination.

Hi aspirant,

There are 3 offered in integrated Mtech program at Vellore Institute of technology, Chennai. Software Engineering, CSE with specialization in business analytics and Construction technology/Management has almost similar intakes and total seats are between 1000-1600. So you can assume around 400-500 seats available for grabs in integrated Mtech program for CSE with specialization in Business analytics.

Note- Core CSE is not available as a part of integrated Mtech program in Chennai campus.

Hope it helps

College Infrastructure

Our college has pretty solid infrastructure. The classrooms are spacious and have projectors. Labs are well equipped with the latest tools, especially in the computer and electronics departments. The library is really good has a wide range of books and enough space to study quietly. Wi-Fi is available across the campus and it's reliable most of the time. Sports facilities are decent with a basketball court, football ground, and indoor games area. The hostels are clean, and maintenance staff are usually quick to respond. The mess food is okay, not great, but hygienic. Overall, it’s a comfortable place to study and live.
