Hello Surya
It will be difficult for you to get cse in vit Chennai at this rank in category 1. You can get this branch at Chennai campus in other categies but fees will increase rapidly. In category 4 and category 5 you can easily get cse but fees will be 4 to 5 lakh per year because these seats comes under management quota.
Hope this helps

Dear Aspirant,

I am sorry to say this you will not be getting any seat in VIT chennai either in 3rd or 4th category .Don't get disappointed better luck next time .

ALL THE BEST

Dear aspirant,

Congratulations on your success in VITEEE. With the mentioned rank you can get CSE/IT in category 3/4 at Vellore campus or in 2/3rd at Chennai campus. You can also opt for other top courses like ECE, mechanical at Chennai campus.

If you are only interested in coding and software developing and can't afford higher category fee ,then you may apply for CSE/IT at Bhopal and Amravati campuses.

Hope it helps!!

For Chennai category 2 and AP also cat 2 but you have low chance to get in cat 1

Dear aspirant,

With 39030th rank in the VITEEE exam, it is near impossible for you to get admission to Computer Science and Engineering branch at VIT Chennai. To get admission to the CSE branch at VIT Chennai, the candidates should have a rank below 35,000. In one of the previous year's counseling rounds, the cut-off for the CSE branch at VIT Chennai was 33000th rank. So, as per your rank, you can seek admission to VIT Bhopal or VIT AP.

Dear aspirant ,

As you mentioned that you have got 41k rank in viteee 2021 and also taking into consideration that you want cse branch only, so as far as vit vellore main campus is concerned you may have chances to get cse but in category 5. If you can afford it then it's ok but if you can't , then I would suggest you to not take up this campus and go for vit chennai as the fees in category 5 would cost you around 28L .

In vit chennai , you would get at a worst case in category 3 or Category 4. More chances are in category 3. Also it depends year to year how many students are applying for it, you can even get in a lower category too.

Respected Ma'am,

Your son secured a descent 11000th rank in the VITEEE exam. As per the previous year's offs and the availability of seats at VIT Chennai and VIT Vellore, I suggest that your son should opt for the CSE specialization in category-2 in both colleges.

Dear aspirant,

Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore, and Chennai are some of the leading engineering institutions in India. Even sometimes they are regarded as the No.1 private engineering college in India. As the placement and other facilities of the college are up to the mark, near around 2 lakhs of students every year gives VITEEE exam to get admission either to VIT, Vellore or VIT, Chennai. So, the competition is very high.

Every year, in total, VIT Vellore provides only 5,000 seats for admission and VIT Chennai provides 273 seats in Computer Science and Engineering branch for admission. As you said you secured 104411th rank in the VITEEE exam which is even far away from the 10,000th rank, it is more than impossible for you to get into either VIT, Vellore, or VIT, Chennai.

As per the competition level, I think, you should attempt the VITEEE exam once again next year and give it your 100% to its preparation. You can visit the following link to get more details and information regarding the VITEEE exam preparation.

College Infrastructure

Our college has pretty solid infrastructure. The classrooms are spacious and have projectors. Labs are well equipped with the latest tools, especially in the computer and electronics departments. The library is really good has a wide range of books and enough space to study quietly. Wi-Fi is available across the campus and it's reliable most of the time. Sports facilities are decent with a basketball court, football ground, and indoor games area. The hostels are clean, and maintenance staff are usually quick to respond. The mess food is okay, not great, but hygienic. Overall, it’s a comfortable place to study and live.
