I believe CSE Thiagarajar College of Engineering under the eminent Anna University is knots ahead of Private Institutes like VIT Chennai and SRM. You will have access to better Faculty and Research Facilties.
From Dr APJ Abdul Kalam to Dr K Sivan of ISRO, Anna University alumini are known all over the world and hence an excellent employer outlook. Anna University has produced brilliant Researchers, Academicians and Engineering Professionals in all these year, and its the experience of Professors in curriculum which play an important role in your development as an Engineer. As far as Placement is concerned, being located near IT Hubs at Chennai, Thiagarajar too has excellent Placements in CSE with TCS, Infosys, Amazon, GE, Accenture, Microsoft and L&T being few of the top recruiters. Secondly the peer culture at Institutes if Anna University is excellent and many move on to pursue Masters at top Institutes like IISc Bangalore and IIT Madras, post Bachelors. All the Best.
Hello.,
Both the college have it's own importance and they are on of the reputed colleges in chennai. Now coming to the point of question then it wholly depends on student interest about the branch or course in which he wanted to get the admission.
If you have skills in ECE then choose VIT or if you are interested in chemical engineering then choose ACT.
In general ACT have the good placement record alongside with good infrastructure and faculty. The placements are 70- 80% depending on the candidate performance. The average package would be minimum of 45 lakh per annum and the average salary is 7 lakh per annum.
VIT is also having good placement record of 80% and many companies like Wipro., Infosys., Dell comes for recruitment. The highest paid salary is 40 lakh per annum and the average salary is 7.5 lakh per annum
Hope this helps. Good luck

The college is known for its engineering courses and technical education, but since past few years it is developing and expanding its courses and offers opportunities to students from various fields. The placement structure of the college is also helpful as many companies visit the campus every year. The course curriculum of the Law course is well updated keeping in mind the practical case studies that helps the students to gain practical knowledge as well.
So, you can consider this college for Law.
I hope you found this answer helpful. Good luck for your future.
Hi,
If you are confused between lnm LNMIIT Jaipur and VIT Chennai, then without a shred of doubt I would suggest you to go with LNMIIT Jaipur.
LNMIIT Jaipur is a government college and also has a better track of placement :

This year, a total of 224 jobs were offered. Further placement details regarding average salary offered and the top recruiters are provided further.

The placement rate for 2019 batch: 94.19%

Amazon
VIT Chennai is aslso a good college but it is not upto the level of LNMIIT Jaipur. The placemement record goes like:
For the year 2019, VIT University Chennai has released the placement data wherein a total of 690 companies visited the University. Check the placement data of the University that includes number of companies participated in the recruitment drive, total job offers made, average salary offered to the students and some top recruiters.

Hello student.
VIT college in chennai and university college of engineering RTU, both the colleges are pretty good in terms of placements and faculty etc. But in comparision with RTU, VIT chennai is a better one.
Here are the factors to consider that college:
Infrastructure and college life:
VIT have a wonderful infrastructure with well equipped labs and classrooms. Hostels are pretty decent and nice environment is always maintained. You can see that the campus life is going to be really well. College life is good with the right kind of atmosphere given to the students who come from different places.
F aculty and quality of education:
All the faculties are well qualified and experienced over here. And education, curriculum is made in such a way that students are made to acquire more hands on knowledge than just the theory. It is not just the books and classes. Focuses more on practical knowledge than the theoretical one. Education quality and the way guidance is given is really good.
Placements:
Placements are really good as many good companies visit this college. Most of the students gets placed and opportunities of internship is provided to the students from wide range of companies.
According to our website, both of them are very good rated ones.

Placement : vit chennai around 4 lakhs , LNMiit jaipur around 5 lakhs
Fees : vit chennai have less fee around 7-8 lakhs while in LNMIIT it is around 14- 14.5 lakhs

Hello Aspirant,
It is difficult to say if you will get seat in VIT Chennai in first category, you may get it in second category probably . Also branch wise cutoff varies so, it is difficult to say if you will get your choice of branch .Do check the official website for more information, or you may have to wait till the list comes out

The college infrastructure is really good. People with interest can easily learn new skills, get into new projects and get well versed in various tech skills. It is really a great place to start or boost ones knowledge. The infrastructure the college provides meets the International standards.
The infrastructure at VIT Chennai is exceptional, surpassing even that of many IITs and other private institutions. The air-conditioned hostels provide comfort, and the quality of food in the mess is commendable.
It has pretty decent infrastructure. We have all the necessity amenities nearby, hence the infrastructure complements the busy student life of engineering. We have Domino's in the campus, also we have in campus gym and salon.
