As you have mentioned that you have secured 18730 rank in vit. So considering the previous year cutoff it would be difficult for you to get cse in vit vellore campus. Previous year cutoff was like:

According to me 20k to 30 k could get good branch in VIT Chennai . To be more specific around 20 to 50 k will get cse branch in Vellore campus and lower branch in VIT campus .but it could also happen that u could get cse branch

With this rank it is next to impossible or to be more precise impossible to get CSE that too under 1st category fees structure.

Getting under category 2 is also difficult with this rank but if your luck favors then you may get CSE under 2nd category.

No chance not at all. Sorry to dis hearten you but that's the reality.There is a cut throat  Competition for CSE in VIT especially for Vellore campus but for the sake of category 1 students from rank 4500-7500 tends to choose Chennai campus instead of Vellore in category 2.
