As you are aware that VITEEE has been cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic. The admission of students will be based on 10+2/Pre-University marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology. Also, students who will have valid JEE Main scores will be given weightage. It's for the first time so cut-off marks are impossible to predict. You can apply, for sure. More the marks, more the chances of getting your preferred branch. Thankyou.

We cannot the cut off marks for admission to Engineering courses in VIT. Since VITEEE 2020 is cancelled admission is based on class 12/JEE Main 2020 January Score. The cut off depends on number of students applied, number of seats available, performance of candidates in class 12 and JEE Main etc. There will be number of students from different boards applying for VIT so you need to wait until cut off is released.

Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) is a Deemed University located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu and was established in the year 1984. The Institute is accredited ‘Grade A’ by NAAC and is approved by University Grants Commission (UGC). The students of VIT hails from almost 50 countries. VIT offers various Undergraduate, Integrated and Postgraduate courses in addition to Ph.D. and M.Phil research programs. With highest package of 35 Lpa with average package of 6.2 Lpa and as per previous record VIT has been a limca book record holder for assuring maximum number of job offers in a single day with it's placement drive. Companies like Amazon, Microsoft, PWC are the highest payers and highest package was around 49 lpa last year. Also the placement rate is 99 % hence almost all people appearing for placements secure a job. But at this college B.Arch placement scenario is same .

If we go through both of them then both are holding are equal position ,so you can prefer any of one as per your interest.

BTech CSE with Artificial Intelligence is provided at Chennai campus not in Vellore campus. Also in Chennai campus, there are two specialization related to Artificial intelligence. One is Artificial intelligence and machine learning and the other which going to start from the year 2020-21 is Artificial intelligence and robotics.

The B.Tech courses offered by VIT University, Chenna  are Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering,  Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Cyber Physical Systems, Civil Engineering,  Fashion Technology, Computer Science and Engineering with Specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics. The cut-off varies every year due to various reasons like level of difficulty of VITEEE 2020, Previous year’s cutoff trends, Number of candidates appeared for VITEEE 2020 and Total number of seats available for admissions. If you get a rank around 13000-14000, you can get CSE in chennai campus under category 1.

If you are getting or able to get Computer Science, which is a Group B branch in VIT then it is fine or Information Technology too, Otherwise is is just as a typical Private Engineering Institute.

I have personally seen various students getting into an IT Company after graduating in EEE or Mech.

10 to 15 students gets placed in Core Companies like Schnider or Siemens while rest follow the bandwagon.
