VTITRC welcomes eligible contenders on the basis of a proper fine-tuned admission procedure towards numerous of its courses. Vidyabharti Trust Institute of Technology and Research Centre, Surat functions under Gujarat Technological University (GTU) and operates based on norms by Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) for admissions within Gujarat.
The Vidyabharti Trust Institute of Technology and Research Centre admission cycle generally begins during May-June for the August-September beginning academic year. Undergraduate programmes have admissions based on Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main scores, while postgraduate programmes have admissions based on Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) scores and Common Entrance Test by ACPC.
For UG courses, the candidates should have passed 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. The candidate should possess a minimum of 45% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST/SEBC) in the qualifying examination. PG candidates should have a corresponding bachelor's degree in engineering or technology.

VTITRC has six B.Tech courses with a total intake capacity of 540 seats. Vidyabharti Trust Institute of Technology and Research Centre admissions are done on the basis of JEE Main ranks and are processed through ACPC's centralised admission system. The courses provided are in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Chemical Engineering. The duration for all the courses is 4 years.
There are three M.Tech courses in the institute: Construction Engineering and Management (18 seats), Production Engineering (24 seats), and Signal Processing and Communications (12 seats). Vidyabharti Trust Institute of Technology and Research Centre admissions are mostly on the basis of GATE score. Non-GATE candidates can also be shortlisted on the basis of performance in the qualifying exam and a Common Entrance Test by ACPC. These are full-time 2-year programmes.
