- 70% of seats (Category A) are allotted by the state government via AP EAMCET counselling.
- 30% of seats (Category B) are allotted by the institute according to guidelines developed by the state government.
- Another 10% of seats are for lateral entry into the 2nd year B.Tech course based on ECET rank. This applies to Diploma and B.Sc. degree holders.
