Can I change my category from sebc to general due to sebc cast validity certificate are not now available after resistation in BDS maharashtra

Prachi Kumari 25th Jul, 2025

Hello,

No, you cannot change your category from SEBC to General after registration for BDS in Maharashtra.

Here’s what you should know:

  1. If you took admission under the SEBC category, you must submit your caste validity certificate within the given deadline.

  2. The government had given a final extension till 6th April 2025 to submit SEBC/OBC caste validity certificates for 2024-25 admissions.

  3. If you fail to submit the certificate by the deadline, your admission may be cancelled.

  4. You cannot switch your category to General to save the seat. Category change is not allowed after registration and allotment.

You must submit the caste validity certificate within the deadline to keep your BDS seat.

Hope it helps !

As part 2025 TG epacet councelling, I attended Phase 1 counselling and got admission in one of the colleges. I paid tution fee for the branch in the college where I got my admission. I want to attend Phase 2 councelling. What is the Process for my scenario?

Prachi Kumari 25th Jul, 2025

Hello,

Yes, you can attend Phase 2 counselling even after getting admission in Phase 1. Here is the process for your case:

  1. Register for Phase 2 – Log in using your credentials and select Phase 2 counselling.

  2. Option Entry – You must give fresh web options again. You can choose new colleges/branches or keep the same ones.

  3. Seat Allotment – If you get a new seat in Phase 2, your Phase 1 seat will be cancelled automatically.

  4. Fee Adjustment – The fee you paid in Phase 1 will be adjusted. If the new college has a higher fee, you must pay the difference. If it’s less, the extra may be refunded as per rules.

  5. Reporting – You must report to the new college if you get a new seat. If you don’t get a new seat in Phase 2, your Phase 1 seat will remain.

Make sure to follow the official schedule and instructions.

if i get a college in 1 st round. in mcc and then i went for upgradation in second round and if no seat is alloted in second round am i eligible for 3 rd round and is my first round alloted seat still valid

Prachi Kumari 25th Jul, 2025

Hello,

Yes, you are eligible for Round 3 (Mop-Up Round).

If you get a seat in Round 1 and choose upgradation in Round 2 but do not get any new seat , then:

  • Your Round 1 seat remains valid .

  • You can keep that seat and still participate in Round 3 if you do not report or join the Round 1 seat.

  • If you joined the Round 1 seat and got no upgrade , you can still go for Round 3, but your Round 1 seat will be forfeited if you get a new seat in Round 3.

So yes, you can go for Round 3, and your Round 1 seat is safe if no seat is allotted in Round 2.

Hope it helps !

i passed my 12th in first attempt but failed in bio so Im repeating 12th as private candidate. am I eligible for afmc

Prachi Kumari 25th Jul, 2025

Hello,

Yes, you can be eligible for AFMC if:

  1. You passed all subjects in Class 12 in the same attempt , including Biology.

  2. You appear for NEET and score well.

  3. You meet the age and other eligibility rules.

Since you are repeating Class 12 as a private candidate , you must clear all required subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English) in this single attempt .

If you pass all subjects together now and meet the other conditions, then yes, you can apply for AFMC.

Hope it helps !

I have completed my bca on 2024 but I have 1 back in 6th sem and I clear the back in 2025 then am I 2024 passout or 2025 passout??am I consider in 2024 batch or 2025 batch??.

Prachi Kumari 25th Jul, 2025

Hello,

You will be considered a 2025 pass-out because you cleared your back paper in 2025. Even though you completed your classes in 2024, your degree is only complete after clearing all subjects.

So, for job applications and documents, you will be counted in the 2025 batch .

Hope it helps !
