How much can we score in neet
Because the paper is made by CBSE and their syllabus is NCERT .
But some questions Come other than the NCERT .
By the studying NCERT thoroughly from cover to cover you can surely get 280 to 300 marks
But If you want to get a medical seat in a reputed govt college then You need to score 330 + in biology. So to score 330+ you need to prefer some reference book.
Also to score this much you need to solve lots of mcqs and take mock tests regularly. Then definitely you will be able to score at least 330+ marks.
Hope it helps

Escort in excess of 550 is required and if possible above 600 if you need to get into a good Government Medical College using the 15% all India quota and definitely usko of excess of 500 or 550 for the 85% state quota based admission to some decent Government Medical College
Follow a good book like Truman for Biology or op Agarwal for Chemistry or Arihant for physics
Salwars Minions accuse if possible and give NOC examinations to work on your time management and question selection skills
Dedicate the initial 2 hours of the day if possible to numericals on circuit diagrams and thermodynamics mechanics and Optics in Physics
Make notes on phylogenetic classification and characters in botany and zoology and life cycles in microbiology regarding Biology in the next 4 to 5 hours of the day
And your day with a bit of organic chemistry especially reaction sequences mechanism is and nomenclature as well as carbonyl compound chemistry as well as metallurgy of transition elements
Repeated mock examination will help you with questions election and time management and try to work on your strength so that you can minimise the negative marking and scored the maximum amount of Neet examination or any MCQ pattern examination
Hope this helps, thank you
But normally students can't so they tend to use other books too
So it all depends on you. If you can understand each and everyline then you can use only ncert otherwise other books can be used too
Normally by studying from ncert only , one can get 450-500 marks in neet but mark my words , you don't have to read but should understand every bit of it
The max marks one can get is difficult to tell. , i friend of mine scored 548 , else it depends on you as it said
All the very best
Hope it helps
hi ritesh , let me tell you how i prepared. first of all i would like to say that, when i gave my neet around 310 marks out of 360 came from NCERT book straight, so what i would say is thorough the ncert text book first , cover to cover , page by page. know it like the back of your hand.now you can add another 20 marks or 30 marks extra to it if you use any other good books available. there are many good books there, so it doesnt really matter. if you have enrolled in any coaching institute, use their materials as well. the remaining 30 is the tough part. it all depends on how well you understood your subject and how extensive you have read. so dont bother about the 30. stick to ncert , then solve dinesh and use your coaching material, this if done properly will shoot up your marks for sure. good luck buddy
Total number of questions-( each question -4 marks)
Physics- 45
Chem- 45
Bio- 90
Biology is the easiest to score if you read your ncert thoroughly. Do read NCERT textbooks and try to solve the questions behind it , especially physics. For chemistry you should be thorough with all the reactions and it's names. And finally don't forget to solve previous year question papers. It's a must! It will definitely help you to know about the type of questions asked and their difficulty level. All the best!
Basically everything is from ncert if u read everything carefully .
But u can surely score 300+ in biology by studying ncert only but u have to do it by heart with diagrams too.
Rest chemistry and physics totally depend on how u study it and whether u practice questions or not .
But u can surely score around 550 only by reading ncert but let me repeat do it properly , carefully and by heart.
There will be
Physics - 45 Questions
Chemistry - 45 Questions
Biology - 90 Questions
Total - 180 Questions
Marks total - 720 max
4 mark for each correct answer. 1 mark will be deducted for each negative answer.
In biology - 360 max marks.
But only NCERT will not be enough for it.
Go through previous year questions and give mock. Will be helpful
To score more than 300 , one actually need to revise NCERT biology more than a HUNDRED times along with solving all types of MCQs from easy to moderate to harder ones.
Revisions are mostly given to chapters like Diversity, biotechnology, microbes, ecosystem etc. That are easy to forget and their examples are the important part .
To directly answer your question, just reading NCERT will might not get you even close to 280s but combining it with MCQs and more mock exams can be helpful.
If you still have any queries about this topic please let me know in comments below.
Good luck
Thanks
But one thing to understand is that, these textbooks will give you an idea regarding the depth of knowledge that is expected from you for appearing for this national level examination.
If you intend to score really well in NEET-UG, you might have to follow some additional references. If you've joined a coaching institution for your preparations, your mentors might be guiding you regarding the extra references you might have to follow.
However, if you only stay confined to NCERT textbooks, you might manage scoring around 540-550 marks out of 720.
Selective reading from an external source is always advisable. Consult your mentors regarding the same and only then consider following one.
