Understand what entails "innovation" and how it can solve specific problems and challenges in the Innovation by Design online course. This course will also touch upon how design plays a vital role in the innovation process, whether in the form of products, systems, or services.

Furthermore, if you want the Innovation by Design certificate, you must satisfy the minimum marks criteria.

Your average assignments must not be below 10 and below 30 in the proctored exam. Both scores will be added together to determine the final score. Your final score will have the following breakup:

75% of the proctored exam score and 25% of the average assignment marks (best three out of four assignments).

Moreover, you must obtain a minimum of 40 marks as the final score. If you satisfy all the conditions, Swayam will provide you with the Innovation by Design certificate.

Swayam offers the Innovation by Design online course to anyone interested in learning design-based innovation.

Admission Details

Step 1: Begin the registration procedure for the Innovation by Design online course by going to the course page: https://onlinecourses.nptel.ac.in/noc21_de05/preview.

Step 2. Use the 'Sign-up/Register' button to access the online registration form on Swayam's portal. Fill out the details as requested on the screen.

Step 3. Next, select the 'send verification code' option to verify your registered email ID.

Step 4. Commence the Innovation by Design certification course once you're verified by Swayam.

Application Details

There's only one sign-up form you need to complete for joining the Innovation by Design online programme. You must fill the form on Swayam's online portal by entering your username, a working email ID, and any preferred password.

Swayam also allows candidates to log in directly through social IDs like Microsoft account, Google ID, and Apple.

Evaluation process

If you're interested in securing the Innovation by Design certificate after completing the course, you need to take the offline exam. Swayam will notify you by releasing a registration URL on its online portal. You can access complete exam details by completing the exam form.

This exam will have a proctor and conducted in the various exam centres of Swayam. There will be two slots for the exam. First in the morning, starting from 9 AM to noon, and second in the afternoon from 2 PM and ending at 5 PM.
