Eligibility Criteria

There are no prerequisites to enrol in the Understanding Ethnography online course.

You must get at least 40% marks in the final score to be eligible for the Understanding Ethnography certification. The final score comprises the written exam score and the average assignment score (based on the best six out of eight assignments). You need to obtain a minimum of 30/75 marks in the offline exam and 10/25 marks in assignments to receive the course completion certificate.

Step 1 – Tap or click this link - https://onlinecourses.nptel.ac.in/noc21_de04/preview. You will reach the course page of Understanding Ethnography directly.

Step 2 – At the top header, you can see the ‘Sign-in/Register’ button. Tap or click it to reach the Swayam registration page.

Step 3 – Sign in to the portal by linking a Google, Microsoft, or Facebook ID. Optionally, tap or click the ‘Sign up now’ hyperlink and create a new account by filling in the required info.

Step 4 – Finally, tap or click on the ‘Join’ button on the Understanding Ethnography course page. You should now be successfully enrolled in the program.

NOTE – The final enrolment date for the course is mentioned on the Swayam portal. You must verify if the course is open for enrolment or not.

Application Details

Admission in the Understanding Ethnography training does not mandate you to fill any application form. To join the course, you simply need to visit the Swayam website, log in to your ID or create a new one, provide basic details like name, email ID, etc. and enrol in the online program.

There is an application form you need to fill for the written exam. You must submit this online registration form and pay the exam fee to book a spot in the Understanding Ethnography course exam.

The Syllabus

Evaluation process

There is a written exam you should take and qualify to receive the Understanding Ethnography certification. It will be held in specified exam centers in two different sessions. The morning shift will be from 9 am to 12 pm, and the evening shift will be from 2 pm to 5 pm.
