Hello Chaithanyaa,
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering(GATE) is conducted every year by IITs for recruitment to various PSUs, admissions to IITs, NITs, IIITs and other government and private colleges to Master's programs.
As for your question, sorry but you won't be able to qualify GATE with the marks that you have mentioned as the cutoff for Metallurgical Engineering in 2019 is 53.5.
Follow the below link for GATE cutoffs:

Hi dear,
Your gate score is 729.last year cutoff for structural engineering was 730.you can also check here
https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/gate-cutoff-for-iit-madras/amp
So you have a chance to get IIT MADRAS.There is no reservation for structural engineering.so you have take admission as a general student.
Hope it helps.
Hello.
Computer Science Engineering (CSE) encompasses a variety of topics that relates to computation, like analysis of algorithms, programming languages, program design, software, and computer hardware. Computer Science engineering has roots in electrical engineering, mathematics, and linguistics
Metallurgy is a domain of materials science and engineering that studies the physical and chemical behavior of metallic elements, their inter-metallic compounds, and their mixtures, which are called alloys.
So there is no common thing btw these two groups. If you are interested in both well that is a rare case. If you want to study metallurgy the go for IITM if you want to study CSE then go for NITT.
what ever the option you choose is not just a option you must have passion towards that course.
Hope this is helpful.
Good luck.
Hello Karan,
Though the cutoff changes every year depending on the difficulty of exam, no. of students appeared, no. of students qualified, etc. but according to the previous cutoff trend your chances to get Thermal or Design courses in IIT Madras is quite low. The previous year cutoff for general category in Thermal or Design fields are listed below:
Hope this helps. For further queries comment down below.
Good luck!
Hello Sandeep,
Based on this score the chances seems less to get a seat in IITs, NITs. You can use GATE College Predictor tool with the given below link to check your best admission possibilities.

Good Luck!
Hey Mahima.
See the marks u have scored in the GATE entrance exam is not enough for u to get admissioned in the good IITs for pursuing ur higher studies. U might get some of the lower NITs but that too not as much good.
U should be opting for any other good private or state college accepting lower marks.
Hope u got my point. Ask if u are having any query.
Good luck
Hello dear!
As you know that cutoff for each year is different and it depends on the number of students participated and the toughness level of paper. In order to get a rank within 1000 you have to score almost 220.It is a safe rank for getting a seat in IIT Madras for aerospace engineering. Previous year, cutoff for aerospace engineering is 1270-2706.
I hope you get it.
As a second-year BS Data Science student at IIT Madras, I am truly impressed by the vibrant campus. Modern lecture halls, advanced computer labs, and a vast digital library make studying here enjoyable. There are comfortable reading lounges and the greenery around gives a calm atmosphere for focusing on my studies.
The infrastructure of my campus is very nice and provides the best environment for studying. Also my campus has all the necessary facilities like wifi , air conditioners etc which are fully functional and also the campus is hygienic.
IIT Madras is one of those places you hear about and imagine high-tech labs, brilliant minds, and a campus buzzing with activity. The library is huge and has pretty much every book or journal you could need. Hostels are decent, though some are better maintained than others, and the campus facilities like canteens, sports grounds, and Wi-Fi are reliable and student-friendly.
