KIIT attempts to provide a comprehensive education that instills within its students a philosophy that values not only learning and professionalism, but also contribution and commitment to the advancement of community.
Placement is one of the advantages that KIIT offers since its inception .It has an impeccable record in campus placement. KIIT has always been much favored talent hunting ground for corporate world as it delivers industry-ready students. A well organized placement team streamlines the recruitment process and students get the jobs of their choice.
The infrastructure is one of the best in India. All the classrooms, laboratories, libraries are high class and one of the best. We have a dedicated 6 floors separate library building which is one of the best in India. You get WiFi facility all around the campus.
Academics is almost like it is in any other Indian engineering college. I am studying Computer Science and Engineering. Most of the teachers are great and if we talk about the curriculum then it is same as that of other engineering colleges in India.
Provides 100% placement each year and even during this pandemic, the placements are going on smoothly. Most of the high packages are grabbed by Computer Science and related branches students and to those students from another branch who sit for IT placements.
The fee is a bit high but I can say that you get what you pay for. You can see the fee structure for various branches on the website of KIIT as it varies from branch to branch.
This is the best part. It is one of a kind experience. You get to experience one of the biggest township-type campuses and the location is awesome. It is absolutely safe here and KIIT also has its own hospital which is there for any emergency 24x7.
Haven't visited my college. Infrastructure is magnificent what I've heard from my senior. My campus consists of everything. Basketball court, football, swimming pool, gym and many more. It's huge. We need buses to travel
It's online now. So it's pretty good. Practical class are tough. Because it's laggy. Video quality is pretty good. But practicals can't be executed online. Rest is okay. Faculties are nice. Yes that's it.
I love my college. It's online now. So it's pretty good. Practical class are tough. Because it's laggy. Video quality is pretty good. But practicals can't be executed online. Rest is okay. Faculties are nice

The campus is developing by the day and new work spheres are being introduced. The necessity of a green environment is kept in mind. Classrooms are air conditioned, and the hostels have WIFI. Biometric system is used.
The university is autonomous and the course curriculum is updated and does pretty good for a tier 2 university. If the student is attentive, he or she is sure to get individual attention whenever required.
The placements in the last few years have been exceptional. Although individual charisma and brilliance is always going to be a determining factor. Branches like Computer Science are offering good placements.
AS compared to other private universities, KIIT is comparitively less costly. Also, from a placement point of view, if you get a good placement, the money spent in education is going to come back to you within two years,
There are room for more sports complexes. Some areas are under construction. So Kiit will hopefully have more playing areas for those who arent enrolled in a particular sports coaching . There is no vibrant nightlife areas in and around KIIT
Almost all the infrastructure of the college is good.Modern Lab,faculties helpful excellent, library with vast collection of books.Hostel life excellent, food not so good, mess must be maintained more.Infrastructure could be more updated from time to time.
I am studying Electronics and Telecommunication, placements are good ,some eminent companies come like google,Microsoft, teaching is good.Online mode of teaching is good and exams are held from time to time
quality of placements is good,85% of them get placed every year.Highest package given was around 44 L ,average is 4-5 L.Placements are good ofcourse but it depends on how a student acts during time of placements
It depends actually 17 l including hostel etc,yes satisfied but might be difficult for not all if not afford to pay
its good !!!you will enjoy, different clubs, fests goes on and also extra curricular activities are great!!
The infrastructure is beautiful and we have access to wifi 24*7. There is a sports centre in ever campus. A new library is built which is filled with books of all genres. All necessary items are provided by the college .
The college is able to manage even during online classes and has improved it's average grade overall. The curriculum includes everything which is necessary and makes you go through the various fields.
The placement is good and kiit is maintaing it's average package even during online mode. The college has a training and placement cell to prepare the students for placement. The average salary of 12 lakh per annum is offered to the students of cs branch.
1.KIIT has amazing laboratories for students interested in research and development. 2.KIIT has huge library for students who love studying. KIIT has a great student activity center for students interested in co curricular activities.3.KIIT also has facilities for all sports .The infrastructure is very well maintained and the food served is good too.
I am a CSE student and the quality of education is very good. The curriculum is well updated too. The teachers and placement cell provide all assistance to make the students job ready. The teachers also help students with building good projects.
The quality of placements is really good with over 90% students of being placed. In 2020 , highest salary offered was 30 LPA offered by Amazon to student of CSE department. The average salary is 6 LPA. The placement cell is really supportive.
The course costed Rs.4 LPA per year. The college is very expensive.
The best part of campus life is the vibrant shops and eateries for students to hangout. The worst part is the the disciplinary rules and regulations. The students, teachers and staff are really supportive! The location is really good. Yes the college can handle emergency situations.
I will recommend every student to attend this college.
KIIT has one of the biggest campus in India. Infrastructure is good, classroom are the best part, you have centralised air conditioning, projector, wifi is free throughout the campus. Our new library is quite good. There is a Canteen for every hostel. Boys hostel is okay could be better, but the common washroom in hostel is quite good. Food is from okaish to good.
For a computer science student after 1st year all the subjects are wholly or partially dependent on computers. Still as a student I feel there could be subjects that are more related to computer science and job placement.
From what I have heard placements are quite good I have 2 siblings both passed out from KIIT and both doing great. Last year highest package was around 30-40lac per annum. Average is also promising 5-6lac per annum.
Well KIIT is an expensive college. Total fees of 1 year including mess and achostel is around 3.5-4 lac which is quite expensive, placement is good but still college could be a little cheaper, specially hostel.
Campus Life is quite good we have many societies in college of all fields like acting singing photography sports dancing etc. Location of college is in Bhubaneswar in main city, so outside college you can find anything and everything. Bhubaneswar is cyclone prone, but the govt tackel it quite efficiently.
KIIT is a great college, teachers are good every student will have a mentor assinged to him/her the mentor will look after all the problems faced by the student like problem in hostel or problem with some subject teacher or anything. And campus Life is quite good, you won't regret joining KIIT
The campus is spread over such a humongous area , and everything is available which you want ranging from gyms to cafeteria to indoor sports stadium etc . KIIT provides a solid base to structure yourself . If you are good at studies , extra - curricular or any other thing then it can provide you in numerous opportunities to justify yourself . It's worth the shot !
Life at KIIT is more than just lectures and study sessions . Students get a plenty of execuses to take a well-earned break from books . Hello Suhani,
In order to secure a seat for B.Tech in computer science at KIIT( Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology) you need to focus on your entrance exam marks and your rank. KIIT conducts its own entrance exam KIITEE. Important elements to consider are listed below:
1. KIITEE is a 480 mark exam with 120 questions with negative marking. A +4 is given for every right answer and -1 for every wrong answer. The ideal score is typically 400 out of 480 with a score of 370-400 as the competitive range. Your aim should be the ideal score mentioned here.
2. The another thing to be given importance is that, it is a must to have at least 60% marks in your physics, chemistry and mathematics in your class 12.
3. Exam pattern: Subjects- Mathematics( 40Qs), Physics(40Qs) and Chemistry(40Qs). It is a 180 minutes exam.
One must heavily focus on mathematics and physics as KIIT gives priority to the candidates with higher score in these two subjects.
Thankyou.
Yes, you can apply for a transfer from KIIT Bhubaneswar to KL University, Vijayawada, but KL will treat you as a new admission through their lateral entry/transfer policy. This usually means you’ll need to go through their admission process, submit migration/transfer certificates, and get course equivalence approved. However, you will not get a direct fee waiver KL University will charge its own tuition and may not adjust fees already paid to KIIT. You can request concessions through the admissions office, but full transfer without extra payment is generally not possible.
