Both are good in the area of academic in MNNIT .It is all depend upon the branch what you want from that branch if are more interested in the field of construction, designing, urban development. and for mechanical  study the design, sensor, tools etc. AS per the placement  civil

NIT Allahabad : Fees for complete B.Tech is nearly 6.5 lakhs . Mechanical is good here.Highest package for last year was aorund 17 LPA whereas the average salary package is around 6 LPA. Tata , microsoft, infosys are recruiters here.
