Hello,
It is suggested that you should opt for ECE Branch at NIT Agartala. It is a core branch and the major advantage of it that you will get is in placements. Also , students who wish to go for goverment jobs take ECE as there are a lot of jobs in the government sector for this branch.
Hope this helps. All the very best!
Hello,
Last year ECE at NIT Silchar closed at 5898 obc rank for other state student. It generally closes at around 6000 OBC rank only. So considering that your chances are good, but you will have to patiently wait for later rounds, where you have good chance.

The competition in your case is very high. The reason for such high competition is the number of seats. There only 66 seats in ECE branch but your overall score is still pretty good to get a good government engineering college. Your EWS rank is good to get a government college. I'll suggest you to try for other colleges.
Feel free to ask any queries. GOOD LUCK!!!

College infrastructure is good not excellent as it is a very old college( built in 1960's) so not as good as private colleges but it is ok campus is very big and there is no issue in hostels or classes they are comfortable enough. They provide all the basic facilities to students.Hostels are cleaned almost everyday.Classrooms are occupied with smart boards and well maintained benches.
NIT Silchar maintains a well-maintainned campus with modern infrastructure - spacious classrooms equipped with smart boards, central library, sports facilities and descent hostels. Overall infrastructure is good which helps in excelling in academics and extra-curricular activities.
There is no doubt that NIT Silchar has one of the most beautiful campus in country. For a nature lover like me ,it is sure that you are going to have a good time.NIT Silchar is one of the oldest NITS and is regarded as one of the best NIT . NIT Silchar has the largest Digital library in India .
