First of all CGPA doesn't matter, after you have a minimum of 6.5 or 7, secondaly placement are never done on the basis of CG. Its done on the basis of your skills, communication, and other factor. Although CG plays some role, but its not affect placement.

For your percentile your general rank can be estimated as

(100- percentile)*number of students appeared/100

It will be in range 157000-216500

So, you are far behind that. So, get more than 99

your score is good enough for getting admission for architecture and planning in nits. but for nit trichy you need to have a percentile score of 99 plus for obc category as per the last years cutoff result .
