By visiting the previous year cut off you would get an idea of what will be the approximate cut offs for the current year but the cut off depends upon various factors like number of candidates appearing in the examination number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs and difficulty level of the paper.

For general category students the cut off for the cse branch stays around 150-300 and this is for home state and other states it will be a bit less. The lowest the cut off goes till 20k for the lowest branch in that college.

Here is a comparison of Placements in the colleges, which should aid you in deciding which college is best for you:

NIT, Warangal – Mechanical

For the year 2021-22, 92 students were placed with highest package being 25.8 LPA and average salary being 9.02 LPA.

The interim report for Placements 2021 has been released. 839 students were placed during NIT Warangal Placements 2021 so far. The highest CTC of INR 51 LPA was offered to the B.Tech students. The average CTC package was INR 20 LPA.

A total of 350 students were offered internships during the NIT Warangal Summer Internship Placements 2021-22. The highest CTC was INR 1.60 Lakhs per month. The average stipend was INR 20 K per month.

Recruiters like Adobe Ltd, Oracle India Pvt Ltd, SAP Labs, Accenture, Jio, Capgemini etc participated in the placement drive.

With reference to your query,  I would glad inform you that DTU will be the best option to persue engineering in, as I always say go for college instead of branch , from any branch if you work hard , studious dedicatedly and have good command on data structure and algorithm then you can be placed in any good product based company as students of all branches get equal opportunities at the time of placements

For other courses, NIT Warangal maybe reccomended. But for mechanical and mining courses, IIT Dhanbad is preferred. It also gives you the IITian tag, which helps you to get directly into short lists of various internships and can directly proceed to the interview. At the same time, someone who graduates from NITs would have to give aptitude tests and then clear an interview.

Also, note IIT Dhanbad has NIRF ranking 11th while NIT Warangal has only 19th.

Both of the colleges you mentioned are well-known engineering institutes in India. If you believe factors such as placements, infrastructure, faculty, and curriculum to be important, I would advise you to attend NIT Warangal for the following reasons:

Curriculum-wise, both of them have a lot of training experience, so curriculum isn't really a factor.

Both colleges have excellent infrastructure, but it has been determined that NIT Warangal has superior lab and hostel facilities than NIT Surathkhal.

NIT Warangal CSE placements are far superior to AI NIT Surathkhal placements. This may be the primary reason for your decision to study CSE at NIT Warangal. Having a particular subject in your undergraduate degree further narrows your options. So, unless and unless you are absolutely certain of your interest, CSE is a better option.

The faculties at both institutes are excellent, and there is no distinguishing element available in this regard.

Both the colleges you have mentioned are one of the reputed institutes in India for engineering. See if you consider the parameters such as Placements, Infrastructure, faculties and curriculum as some of the crucial points of consideration then I would recommend you to go for  NIT Warangal, the reason behind this is stated below:

• Curriculum wise both of them have good exposure to training so there are no importance of curriculum as a parameter.
• Infrastructure of both the colleges are great but its being reviewed that NIT warangal have better lab and hostel facilities compared to that of NIT Surathkhal.
• The placements of NIT Warangal CSE is much better than that of AI NIT Surathkhal. So this can be the main reason why you should choose the CSE at NIT Warangal. Also having a specialized course in your UG narrows the option for you ahead. So that way also CSE is a better choice until and unless you are 100% sure about your interest.
• The faculties in both the institutes are great and there are no such differentiating factor available in terms of that.
