NIT ROURKELA - CSE -> More than 85% of the students get placements in the computer science and engineering department. The highest salary package offered is 42 LPA by Microsoft, the average salary package offered is around 12 LPA. Microsoft, Amazon, Qualcomm, Goldman Sachs, SAP Labs, Infosys, etc., are some top recruiting companies for the course.

NIT WARANGAL - ECE -> Almost 80% of students gets placed every year in ECE course. Highest package offered is 31LPA approx and average package is around 10LPA. Top recruiting companies who visit the campus were Texas instruments, Oracle, Qualcom, Intel, Microsoft etc.

Yeah! Most of the companies allow from other branches to sit for the placement. So if you are in ECE at NIT Warangal then you can obviously sit for companies which are CSE/IT based, provided you must have the knowledge of coding and the skill of problem solving through coding.

Now NIT Warangal have a better placements than NIT Rourkela. But if you are interested in CSE then you should go for NIT Rourkella. See the interest is the key, if you study a subject which you are enthusiastic about you will get the opportunity to get satisfied in future.

First of all I would like to ask you that in which field you have interest. If you have an interest in machines then I would say go for mechanical but if you want pursue a non core career then go for iiit delhi ece.

It solely depends on you what field do you choose. If you want the nit tag then definitely go for nit Warangal or surathkal because these colleges are considered to be one of the best.

Please dont trust NITs when it comes to Department Change. The Probability of Getting your Department Changed at any NIT is quite low when compared to IITs. Secondly, in this Pandemic Situation, there is a higher uncertainity. Incase youre interested in CSE and Software, pursue CSE from NIT Calicut. Its one of the best NITs having 100% Placements for CSE. Most of the Top Software Companies, are very selective when they visit NITs and dont generally open below CSE and IT (By Top Software Companies, I refer to US Corporations, International Placements, Top Companies which visit Select IITs and NITs, 25 LPA+ Packages).

Incase you have no general interest, ECE at NIT Warangal is a good choice. ECE is a really flexible branch and exposes you to a number of Technologies, hence Opportunities across Industry Verticals, besides being a Top 3 NIT.

If youre interested in CSE, take up CSE at NIT Nagpur. Switching between opportunities and interests is easier in IITs, but at NITs most of the Top Software Companies usually dont open below CSE and IT. Secondly NIT Nagpur is undoubtedly one of the better NITs, and has a huge locational advantage being near IT, Finance and Technology Hubs of nearby Mumbai and Pune.

Ofcourse if you dont have any general interest or are from the Southern Half of India, NIT Warangal ECE is a great option, with ECE being a branch of unlimited possibilities across Industry Verticals and Research. You have nearly 100% Placements at either NITW ECE or NIT Nagpur CSE. However being Interested in Sofware Engineering, the latter would be the best choice.

NIT Warangal is a great place to do your graduation. It's a reputed NIT with ample opportunities and a good exposure. The courses in Biotechnology are designed in a way that even a student who hasn't studied 'Biology' after 10th can grasp them quite easily

Placements at VNIT are below average not only in the civil engineering department but overall as well. ... The highest salary package offered in civil engineering in the year 2021 was 10.8 LPA, and the average salary package offered was around 5 LPA - 6 LPA, with only 37% of the students getting placed.

NIT warangal has some of the finest faculties , and concerning about the chemical branch, its one of the core subject. As compared to NIT AP , NITW is much more established have some of the experienced teachers and even the placements are decent. BUT i will still recommend you to choose the branch you have interest in. anyhow in the end it all depends upon the students performance, and institute or university can only provide you some opportunities. you have to grab those opportunities in order to build yourself.

NITW is a much better and more established institute than NIT AP, which was very recently conceived, after the partition of Telangana and Andhra. NIT AP does not hold the same weight in placement statistics owing to its nascent faculty and curriculum and also due to its remote location. This is applicable to CSE as well.

NIT Warangal :

• Highest CTC : Rs 43.33 LPA
• Average CTC : Rs 12.15 LPA
• NIRF Ranking: 59th

NIT Calicut :

• Placement Percentage: 76.61%
• Highest CTC : INR 43.31 LPA
• Average CTC : INR 10.75 LPA
• NIRF Ranking: 23rd

The placement of both institute is similar. However NIT Calicut is ranked higher than NIT Warangal in NIRF. Also you are getting CSE in NIT Calicut. Now a days CSE has best placement scanerio. I suggest you to go for CSE in  NIT Calicut.
