Typically speaking there is no such difference between National Institute of Technology Warangal and National Institute of Technology Surathkal as both of these are the top Engineering colleges of our country. Both of them offer the same quality of academics and exposure. So, in this case chose which is close to your house and add a fact that NIT Surathkal has a private beach.

Hello Aspirant,

Considering that you have mentioned your OBC rank because OBC rank is to be considered for allotment, if it is CRL rank then kindly correct me in the comment section below.

As we go through the latest cut-offs of JEE-Main 2021 of JOSAA 6th round then it shows that the closing OBC rank for National Institute of Technology Warangal in 2021 was 478 for CSE branch so with the mentioned OBC rank you have almost no chances to get CSE in National Institute of Technology Warangal even under OBC quota.

Both the courses is reputed for their excellent imparting education specially two or three course of study that is renowned for its facuties and teachings of the respective subjects. But in respect of placement NIT Warangal Chemical Engineering this course of Study is in a better position inresoect of placement.every year atleast 87%percent of the student got placed .The highest salary they get 62,00,000 rs per annum. And the average salary of the students get in branch is19,00,000 per annum. But the Mechanical branch students of NIT Durgapur get rupees 17,00,000 per annum. So inresoect of salary and placement the NIT Warangal is two steps ahead than NIT Durgapur.
Hope this helps.

Hello Aspirant,

As we go through the latest cut-offs of JEE-Main 2021 of JOSAA 6th round then it shows that the closing SC rank for NIT Warangal in 2021 was around 10k so with the mentioned SC rank you have very less chances to get NIT Warangal even with Home state quota

See, this type of question totally depends on what you have to do in future. If you want to go for let's say an MBA or something which is not concerned by engineering, then you should join NIT Warangal as it is a big brand name to be proud of. However, if you want to strictly live in the Computer Science field, then I'll suggest you to go for IIIT Kota as IIITs in general do a good job in training you for that.

So, decide and then choose.

The lowest cut-off for the Scheduled cast category in the home state quota is 1718 rank in the ST group, and this cut-off is for the Bio Engineering branch. If you score this rank in the ST category, then feel almost sure to get admission into NIT Warangal the next year or this year.

Hello,

Based on your marks, and caste category and assuming you have given a moderate shift paper, your percentile is expected to be around 97.5

As per the previous year cutoffs, unfortunately, you will be not be able to get a seat in NIT Warangal and IIIT Hyderabad.

Hello Aspirant,

See it is quite difficult to tell you an exact figure of your percentile and rank because it keeps on changing every year depending upon various factors but yes we can help you with approximate figures on the basis of analysis of previous year's data.

So If we go through the analysis of marks Vs Percentile Vs rank for JEE-Main 2021 then according to the marks mentioned by you in the question your percentile, CRL rank and ST rank are expected to be in the range of 92.5-92.8, 70000-80000 and around 800-1800 respectively.

You can check out marks Vs ranks Vs Percentile from the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile

Note that the percentile and rank which are predicted is only the expected percentile and rank on the basis of previous year's data so your actual percentile  and rank might vary depending upon current factors.

B ased on such category rank you can go for only NIT Trichy with CSE branch and that too if you deserve Home state quota means if you belongs to Tamil Nadu otherwise neither in NIT Trichy nor in NIT Warangal.

Good Luck!!

hello aspirant,

See NIT Warangal is one the top premier Institutes in India. It is one of the top ranked NIT's in India and so in order to get seat in any of it's branch you have to secure a good rank and marks in JEE mains. In order to get core branches like CSE or ECE you have to score at least 250+ in general category in JEE mains, for OBC category you have to score at least 220-230+ in JEE mains and for SC/ST, the required marks will be around 170-190 in JEE mains.

And if I talk about the sfae rank, then for general category, a rank of within 3000-4500 in JEE mains will be considered as a safe score in JEE mains. And a equivalent percentile of more than 99 will be required to get admission in NIT Warangal for general category.

Please note that the above mentioned marks, rank and percentile was based on the previous year JEE mains cutoff data and this may vary as the JEE mains cutoff varies every year and it depends on various factors.

To know more about the JEE mains Cutoff, you can follow the below mentioned link : https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff
